BiliBili Gaming and Invictus Gaming are facing off each other in the lower bracket final of the LPL 2025 Split 2 Playoffs on June 13. With MSI qualification on the line, who will go on to join Anyone’s Legend in the Grand Final? It’s time to break down the two teams in what might be the most-watched series of the split.
Both BLG and IG put together two strong rosters for the 2025 campaign. The former kept four of its five players from the previous year, swapping out the jungler in the process. Initially, it was Wei who played as a starter, before Beichuan came in with the hopes of fixing BLG’s poor start to the season.
IG, on the other hand, brought back the old glories, TheShy and Rookie, and assembled a strong lineup with Jiejie, GALA, and Meiko. On paper, IG has one of the strongest lineups of the entire LPL, although there were serious doubts about their overall potential given that most of these players have struggled with results in recent times.
After half a season, however, it looks like both teams are in strong form, as they made it to the top three in the league. IG fought their way from the lower bracket while BLG narrowly lost to Anyone’s Legend, proving that they are a top contender for the team. While most people were to predict BLG as the clear favorites, the latest 3-0 win by IG against Team WE might have raised some doubts about the one-sidedness of the series.
IG have been rather inconsistent for most of the season so far. Their first split wasn’t that great and even during the Split 2 regular season, the team often alternated big wins with unbelievable losses. The quality of the individual players is undeniable but there was always the feeling that the five wouldn’t click together. That line of thought seems to have changed over the last two series, now that IG took down WBG and WE in a convincing manner.

It looks like IG is more polished and making fewer silly mistakes. This allows them to be more in control of the game state and slowly create leads. Their biggest flaw in previous months was their weaker macro and general messiness when it came to mid-late game transitions, which often caused them to lose from a winning position. You know these guys are incredible when it comes to skirmishing and if the drafts are being well executed, IG has the potential to fight for the title.
Even though BLG lost to AL, I still rate them in the top two of the LPL right now. Ever since Beichuan joined the team, their level of consistency has been getting higher and higher over time. BLG found their identity and know exactly how to play around their strengths, which are the solo lanes.

Knight has been the best mid laner alongside Shanks in the league so far and is often hard carrying BLG in the teamfights. Paired with a solid Bin in the top lane and the playmaking support ON, BLG has enough cards up their sleeves against any team.
The one reason BLG struggled against AL ultimately came down to the drafts. The Fearless format put the coaching staff on the back foot, and it was clear that AL got a much easier team composition to play around with. This is probably the biggest weakness BLG has, and they will have to figure out a fix in the near future, especially if they were to qualify for MSI.
While IG is in strong form, we’re still expecting the odds to be in BLG’s favor. The last time the two played each other, BLG dismantled IG. The main factor of the series will likely fall on the junglers. Beichuan is more of an enabler in BLG’s identity, while Jiejie will want to create a lead for himself and use his advantage to create a winning game state for his team.
It will likely be a closer series compared to the previous one, and there is also a chance IG makes the upset happen. If IG were to win, however, it would be by the slightest of margins. Overall, however, a 3-1 win for BLG seems a reasonable prediction.
Regardless of who wins, this is going to be one of the most-attended LPL series of the year. You got arguably the LPL’s hopes at the international stage against the most popular team in the Chinese league. Make sure to tune in on Friday, June 13 at 11:00 CET when the second finalist will be determined.
