Right now, players are busy trying to track down a specific place on the Fortnite map. Not a POI or one of the handful of secret rooms we’ve seen added this season, but the telephone booth Fortnite features in some places. These telephone booths have been a part of some POIs in the game since early Chapter 2. Although, they’ve been missing for quite a while now.
If you’ve not spent too long on the fringes of the map, you might have missed that the Fortnite phone booth locations are back this season. The telephone booths have an important role to play in a handful of locales! While they aren’t the type that allow you free control to change up your skin to anything you like, they do transform you. A key feature for some weird play styles! Not the kind of thing that wins Fortnite tournaments, but it can be fun to pretend to be an NPC in some places and content creators have gotten a lot of milage out of them.
At the moment they might be most interesting to players for a quest though. A current questline is challenging players to enter the telephone booth locations. There’s only a handful of these spots, but they are fairly easily to track down. These are all the spots and where they are:
All Fortnite Phone Booth Locations
Where are all of the Fortnite Telephone phone booths? They’re spread around the map a little bit. They’re most connected to the spots with storm troopers though. The most obvious is the POIs with bosses, so Vader and the First Order Base. Both have them, although they’re quite popular Fortnite landing spots at the moments. There are other spots too, closer to smaller locations like the roadblocks on the map.

What is the Telephone Booth Fortnite?
What is the telephone booth in Fortnite? You can’t exactly make calls in it. There actually two types of phone booths in Fortnite, and only one is in the game right now.
There’s blue telephone booths which are mainly a feature for creative. They allow you to change your skin without having to quit out. It takes you to the locker screen, and you come back out wearing a new one. Very useful, and probably something we’re not going to see outside of creative anytime soon. On the other hand, the red telephone boxes are a bit easier to find.
These are the Battle Royale type. They’re exactly the same, but red. Instead of taking you into the locker screen, these apply a disguise. This has always been a disguise of a henchman. The NPCs that surround bosses and guard various places around the map. This season, those are First Order stormtroopers. So you can temporarily transform yourself into the current free Fortnite skin. They do fool other NPCs though, so you won’t be attacked when moving around the map.
They don’t tend to fool other players, at least not for very long. You have to perfect your NPC style movement, which is easier said than done. You’ll also blow your cover if you make contact with anyone, or take damage. Both things cause your disguise to vanish. So while it’s useful, it won’t survive a fight. The same thing happens with Mystique’s transform emote.
Telephone Booth Quest in Fortnite
At the moment, a lot of players are trying to finished of the questline involving the Telephone booth locations in Fortnite. All you have to do for this quest is to head to one of those Fortnite phone booth locations, then disguise yourself.
The easiest spots to land for it are the new POIs. However, the smaller ones are quite a bit quieter. The phone booths in-between different POIs probably won’t be hot dropped. So you can head to these if you just want to quietly get it finished up. It’ll complete pretty easily, just as soon as you step into the box and have a short animation. Then you’ll be a step further on the Fortnite Galactic Battle quests!
