Where does every character sit in a Street Fighter 6 tier list? Since the game launched we’ve seen a lot of change. Patches, development from the best players, we’re looking at quite a different balance. But the Street Fighter 6 tier list is still quite even, there’s tons of characters which sit at the top of the game.
Now we’ve had a couple of year’s worth of DLC and updates, the SF 6 characters are looking pretty diverse! If you’ve not found a main, there’s a lot more choice. But which are the best Street Fighter 6 characters? Putting them into a Street Fighter 6 tier list, there’s some clear winners and losers this time.
After a few patches, the balance between the characters has changed quite a bit. Capcom are taking a more restrained approach to balancing Street Fighter 6. Only really dropping SF news and updates outside of the Capcom Cup esports season. But that hasn’t stopped the game from developing quite a bit. Players have found new ways to play characters and a clear balance of power has developed. This is where each of the characters sit right now:
Street Fighter 6 Tier List
S Tier
In this tier we’ve got the best Street Fighter 6 characters. Although, it’s quite a bit bigger than some might expect. Street Fighter 6 is a relatively well-balanced game. While there’s clear characters which standout like Zangeif right now, there’s a lot of options for playing at the top end of the game.

A Tier
Next down in the Street Fighter 6 tier list is A. This is where the characters just below the top sit. They’re not entirely outclassed. A lot of great SF players still perform really well with these. They could be back in S Tier with a decent patch too. These are the A Tier characters:

B Tier
Lastly, we’ve got the bottom. No one is really worth separating out into a C tier. These players don’t have as much potential. Their kit is a bit worse or they have some clear drawbacks and too many bad matchups. These aren’t awful; though. A good player can still get a lot out of them. You might not see them as much in the Street Fighter Ranked mode though. These are the bottom characters:

Who is the Best Street Fighter 6 Character?
That’s roughly where everyone sits in a Street Fighter 6 tier list, but who is the best character overall? There’s quite a few different Street Fighter 6 characters who could be held up as the best. Zangief probably tops it out at the moment. But future patches could easily change that.
Players should keep an eye on the balance as we approach the Capcom Cup 12, if you’ve paid for the stream. The tip characters at this tournament will likely be moved higher in everyone’s estimations. Although, after that we’re looking at a difference balance which could completely change how things stand.
