Best Street Fighter Players in the World

One of the best Street Fighter players in the world right now is Leshar. He’s a Korean player who has competed across fighting games, with good results in FighterZ and King of Fighters. The player has particularly stood out in Street Fighter lately though.

Leshar has had some great results in 2025. At both CEO and Combo Breaker he took first place, playing a mix of Ed and Mai. He’s versatile, which might be part of his 3rd place finish at the Capcom Cup 11. He could perform even stronger this year.

4. AngryBird

AngryBird got off to an amazing start in Street Fighter 6, winning the inaugural tournament for the game. In the time since, since he’s continued to put in great performances. Including 4th at the Capcom Cup 11.

AngryBird is also fresh off some wins in the World Warrior series. Taking 1st in the initial Middle East event, and 2nd in the next two. His results this year haven’t been huge, but we’ve still got a lot of the big events to come.

3. Ryukichi

He took 2nd place at EVO Japan 2025, up against some of the best Street Fighter players in the world. That result solidified their slot at the Esports World Cup SF 6 tournament. They didn’t perform quite as strongly at EVO, only placing 49th to 64th. But everyone has off days. Ryukichi could lock in for the upcoming tournaments and showcase why he’s one of the best Street Fighter players.

2. Kakeru

While he lost out to the player that we have in number 1 at EVO recently, Kakeru is far and away one of the best Street Fighter players in the world right now. Kakeru took some huge wins in the most recent season, being the defending champion at the Capcom Cup. Before this, he won the Gamers8 invitational.

Kakueru’s run at the last Capcom Cup was one of the most impressive we’ve seen. Only having one loss in the groups, and clean sweep in the bracket until the Grand Finals. These kinds of results are unprecedented. Despite the huge stakes at one of the biggest esports events in the world, Kakeru didn’t falter at all. He’s followed that up this year with 2nd place at EVO, along with placing at Red Bull Kumite. Kakeru stands a great chance of making it a back-to-back win.

1. MenaRD

MenaRD has been one of the best Street Fighter players for the whole of the lifespan of the sixth instalment. The Dominican player has more accolades to his name than the vast majority of other players. He’s a three-time EVO Champion, not to mention twice winning the international finale Capcom Cup. Beyond that, he’s still a strong contender to win again this year.

He’s the first place to win EVO and EVO Japan in the same year for Street Fighter. Managing that at EVO 2025. It’s a strong run, even for someone with the kind of history winning events as MenaRD has. Anyone with his track record at the Capcom Cup is worth keeping up with.

MenaRD’s two Capcom Cup victories came for SF V, but he’s been popping off lately in SF 6. Most recently, he took first place at EVO 2025. Beating out Kakeru, last year’s Capcom Cup winner to become the new champion. Between this and strong placements throughout the year, he could make it a three-time circuit winner now. He’s the best Blanka player active right now and is making the character top tier.

That’s how things sit right now, but things are moving fast. We’re still in a really interesting stage for Street Fighter 6. Players are moving up and down the rankings all the time. We’re also still seeing balancing patches along with new characters being added. Any of these could upend our rankings, as could a pop off at one of the major tournaments left in 2025 before the next Capcom Cup.
