Fortnite has just brought back Ranked, Reload, and OG. Three modes that have been missing since the season began, which means it’s finally time to unlock the free Fortnite Ranked skin. This one has been coming for quite a while now. Although, this time the quests might be a little trickier than we expected. This could be a free Fortnite skin that not everyone can unlock, since it depends on performance, not just grinding for hours.

How to Get Free Fortnite Ranked Skin

There might be aa way for players to get it still, even without being the best player in the game. We do have other Ranked rewards too. These are a seasonal thing which have been going on for quite a while now. They’ve not really helped keep Ranked engaging though. In recent Fortnite seasons, the player count for that has dropped significantly.

Hopefully, adding a free Fortnite ranked skin will get players back into the mode. We’ve only got a short time to unlock everything. Although, afterwards we are still expecting the Ranked 2.0 update. A new way of playing more competitively in Battle Royale. First, there’s still a reason to grind with the new free skin.

This is how you can get the free Fortnite Ranked skin and all of the other rewards which are coming with it:

After a few days waiting, we’ve seen Ranked return to the game. Players can queue back in and start the grind to reach Unreal in Chapter 7 Season 1. It might be a longer grind for a lot of players, but if they want to take part in the tournaments at the end of December, they’ll need to get there quickly. The new quests require some strong performances too.

Along the way to reach Unreal, players will need to do some specific tasks to unlock the new free Fortnite ranked skin. Felino has a dedicated quests section where you can keep up on your progress.

To unlock the skin, you’ll need to finish 3 quests. There’s a couple of other items available this time too though. Players will have to complete this many to get everything:

  • Felinos’ Fury Wrap – Complete 1 Ranked Quests
  • Felinos’ Claw pickaxe – Complete 2 Ranked Quests
  • Felinos Skin – 3 Quests

Those are each of the rewards and when you’ll unlock them as you grind things out. What exactly are the quests though? There are three different tasks players will need to do:

If you want to unlock the free Fortnite Ranked skin, there’s three different quests to complete. These are:

  • Eliminate Players in Ranked Reload
  • Place Top 10 in Ranked Battle Royale
  • Eliminate 3 Players and Place Top 10 in a Single Match

Those are all three. Each is a little tougher than our normal grind XP in Fortnite quests. Since the required amounts are relatively high, most players will end up grinding their way out of the lower ranks before they complete quests.

150 kills might end up a challenge once players still to rise to the ranks that are tough for them. The other quests of coming top 10 with kills basically guarantees you’re going to rise up the ranks a few times.

The new challenge is a tricky one. It seems players won’t be able to unlock the free Fortnite Ranked skin unless they can perform at a base level in Ranked.

How can you get this free Fortnite Ranked skin unlocked? A lot of it is going to come down to grinding it out.

In the earliest Fortnite Ranks, players should try to make sure each game counts towards all three quests. If you can be consistent in the lower ranks, it’ll be a lot easier. As you rise up though, it gets tougher. Performing well as you get close to Unreal is going to be a lot harder.

You might have to play quite a lot to grind this out if you’re not a great player. But you don’t have to be one of the best Fortnite players to get there. Everyone will get lucky eventually. These free Fortnite Ranked skin quests might take a while, but just playing over time it should happen.

Eventually you’ll get a lobby where you can roll to the top 10 and start to tick off more of the quests. These kinds of quests are clearly here to build up the play time for an ailing mode, but completists will probably grind it out!
