PGL have just released the list of direct invites to PGL Wallachia Season 6, with 11 teams set to fly out to Bucharest when the tournament begins mid-November this year.

Many of the squads invited will be very familiar to Dota 2 fans, especially those that have been watching over the past year or so. But there are two teams that are sorely missing from the list.
The List
The teams invited by PGL are as follows:
- PARIVISION (Eastern Europe)
- BetBoom Team (Eastern Europe)
- Team Tidebound (China)
- Tundra Esports (Western Europe)
- HEROIC (South America)
- Nigma Galaxy (Western Europe)
- Team Spirit (Eastern Europe)
- Team Liquid (Western Europe)
- Aurora Gaming (Eastern Europe)
- Wildcard (North America)
- Yakult Brothers (China)
Again, nothing too surprising here. Every single one of these squads played at The International 2025 (TI14), so it was a no-brainer for PGL to have them on board. Even Wildcard are here, which is fantastic considering that they kept their entire roster together through the post-TI14 shuffle.
Missing suspects
And so we come to the two squads that I mentioned earlier that aren’t included in the list of invites: Team Falcons and Xtreme Gaming. One would think that the two grand finalists at TI14 would be invited immediately to PGL Wallachia Season 6, but they are completely absent in this case.
🐺 Please welcome the 11 invited teams to PGL Wallachia Season 6! 🇷🇴

Then again, perhaps I shouldn’t be too shocked that they won’t be around. Falcons and XG fought tooth and nail in a five-game grand final series at TI14, and probably want to just take it easy for a little bit. Both clubs deserve the rest if you asked me. It’s also possible for Wang “Ame” Chunyu to not even be an active Dota 2 player this season, considering that he finished second at The International yet again after coming so damn close to finally lifting the Aegis of Champions.
So instead, their slots and those of the rest of the field will be filled out by teams coming from the regional qualifiers, some of which are actually going on right now. Until then, the teams above will be waiting in the wings.
