I feel like I’ve seen this article before but fans of Valve games are eating GOOD after both Counter-Strike and Dota 2 added 17 new skins each in updates. But we’re here to talk about Dota 2. Last night, the new Dota 2 update added 17 new treasure skins to the game to celebrate the end of The International 14, where Falcons took down Xtreme Gaming in a stunning 5 game series.

New Dota 2 Update Adds 17 New Treasure Skins

If you’re one of the fans who managed to land some of the rewards including a month of free DotaPlus, an arcana token, a percentage discount off the physical Aegis and Tyrian Regalia skins, then you’ll be able to do claim them on September 18th.

These new skins are actually beautiful and I’m strongly considering maining Mirana with her new fluttercat mount. This year’s TI was all about the cosmic purple theme and these skins match that perfectly. Not every hero included in the treasure was meta at this year’s TI but there are a good amount – probably some nice guess work from Valve devs. Here’s the full list of heroes that got new skins:

  • Spirit Breaker
  • Enigma
  • Void Spirit
  • Ancient Apparition
  • Mirana
  • Zeus
  • Phoenix
  • Sven
  • Crystal Maiden
  • Faceless Void
  • Marci
  • Phantom Assassin
  • Lina
  • Tinker (rare)
  • Ogre Magi (rare)
  • Mirara (very rare)
  • Earthshaker (ultra rare).

How to get Cosmic Heroes Hoard Treasure and Falcons player capsules

The Earthshaker skin also includes his full Planetfall Arcana, which is returning for the first time. But all of these sexy new skins do come with a cost and a fairly hefty one at that. Each treasure will cost you £2.19 GBP ($2.99) and there’s no guarantee you’ll get the skin you want. If you want a chance at that Earthshaker arcana, you might end up spending a lot of money so be careful.

The good news for TI14 winners Falcons fans is if you want to celebrate the win by getting some player stickers, you can do so for £0.75 (around $1.00 USD). You still won’t necessarily get the player you want but the investment feels a little less painful.
