Valve has released a new CS2 update, adding 17 fancy weapon skins as well as spectator loadouts. The fresh update brings a fairly hefty draught for new skins to an end (by Valve standards).

New CS2 update adds the Genesis Collection skins

Details of the new CS2 update, titled Show Off, have been posted on Steam. First up is the Genesis Collection, which adds 17 new CS2 skins from community contributors. Perhaps the coolest new skin is the AWP Ice Coaled, a continuation of the Ice Coaled collection, which began with the AK-47 back in 2022.

Players can unbox the Genesis Collection from Genesis Uplink Terminals, “which are available as a weekly drop,” according to Valve.

Spectator loadouts make CS2 debut

Valve always figures out a way to sell more CS2 skins, don’t they? Now, when you’re dead, you can check out your living teammates’ loadouts via spectator loadouts. Valve says that this will let players “peek at your full loadout, inspect your weapons, and possibly offer you unsolicited fashion advice.”
