BLAST Slam 3 Power Rankings

PGL Wallachia Season 4 delivered some of the best Dota action we’ve seen in a long time. Packed with thrilling games, stunning comebacks, and major upsets, the event kept me at the edge of my seat – and we have even more to look out for at BLAST Slam 3. With its unique King of the Hill format, the third iteration of BLAST Slam is bound to produce some high-stakes, high-pressure matches..

BLAST Slam 3 Power Rankings

If you’ve been out of the loop, here is a power ranking of the ten participants at the event.

BLAST Slam 3 Power Rankings
Team Name Region Power Ranking
PARIVISION EEU 1st
Team Liquid WEU 2nd
Tundra Esports WEU 3rd
Team Spirit EEU 4th
Team Tidebound CN 5th
Team Falcons MENA 6th
BetBoom Team EEU 7th
Gaimin Gladiators WEU 8th
Aurora EEU 9th
Xtreme Gaming CN 10th

#1 PARIVISION

Despite absolutely dropping the ball at the PGL Wallachia Season 4 Grand Final, PARIVISION remains the best team in the world. They had the advantage in all five maps against Team Liquid, and somehow threw three – something like this won’t happen again, right? I don’t think teams have entirely figured out ways to deal with PARIVISION’s unique play style just yet, and I have high confidence they’ll continue to steamroll through the competition.

#2 Team Liquid

Team Liquid are coming off a massive win at PGL Wallachia Season 4, solidifying themselves as back-to-back champions. However, this team can be pretty inconsistent at times – they’re either the best team in the world, or they bomb out entirely. Still, my GOAT miCKe has been playing some exceptional Dota, and I think this patch suits him well. I’m sure they’ll do well at BLAST Slam III.

#3 Tundra Esports

Tundra have remained shaky since integrating Crystallis, and we can’t really use PGL Wallachia Season 4 to benchmark their form since 33 wasn’t there for most of the Playoffs. Still, it’s Tundra – you can never count out a team with so many star players. I think Crystallis is getting into the groove, and that BLAST Slam 3 is where Tundra will make their big break.

#4 Team Spirit

Team Spirit aren’t looking like they’re in the best shape. They dominated the Wallachia Group Stage, only to bomb out early in the Playoffs. This just gives off “Group Stage Merchants” vibes. However, we all know what Spirit are capable of when they’re on a roll, so we can never count them out.

#5 Team Tidebound

No sponsor? No problem. The experienced Team Tidebound are on a steady rise to the top. I’ll have to give huge props to NothingToSay, who has been playing insanely lately. It’s like he’s back in 2021 form again. Still, the rest of the team has been playing pretty solid, and I have them making a deep run at BLAST Slam.

#6 Team Falcons

Team Falcons are not looking great. They’ve been struggling to find their form in recent months, and their recent loss to NAVI Junior in an elimination match was a clear testament. I don’t know if it’s a patch problem or a team problem, but I know this isn’t the Falcons we’re used to seeing. If the Falcons fail to make a mark anytime soon, we might have to bring up a tough conversation for potential roster changes.

#7 Gaimin Gladiators

We haven’t seen the Gaimin Gladiators in a little while, but let’s not forget they’ve significantly improved. Their absence in recent tournaments does leave us in the dark about their current form, but it’s about time Quinn makes his grand return to the top. Though my expectations aren’t too high, I’ll be rooting for them.

#8 Aurora

Aurora is trying to make a group of troublesome star players work. Though we all know everyone on the team is extremely skilled, I feel it’ll take some time to get the gears running. Maybe they’ll flourish in a few months, but I don’t think they’re quite there yet.

#9 BetBoom Team

The BetBoom Team will enter BLAST Slam 3 with a stand-in. Kataomi will not attend the event, and Fly will take his place. Though Fly is no slouch, it looks awkward since he will play in a full Russian-speaking team. Even with full force, the BetBoom Team didn’t look very convincing at Wallachia, but you never know what Pure is cooking up.

#10 Xtreme Gaming

Putting Xtreme Gaming at the very bottom of the list made me realize how stacked BLAST Slam 3 is. Still, Ame and the crew have not looked very convincing. They were struggling in online tournaments against lesser teams, and playing against the best in the world doesn’t help their case. Just like at Wallachia, I’m predicting an early exit for Xtreme Gaming.
