PARIVISION will face Team Liquid in the Grand Final of PGL Wallachia Season 4. Two big narratives clash going into the match;  PARI seek to establish themselves as THE TEAM in the Global Power Rankings, while Team Liquid seek to defend their Season 3 trophy and re-gain some momentum this season.

PARIVISION vs Team Liquid: Narratives clash in PGL Wallachia S4 Grand Final

Narratives collide at PGL Wallachia Season 4 Grand Final

We had several cool and interesting narratives to look out for leading up to the Grand Final. Strong performances by Tundra, Liquid, Spirit and PARIVISION made any Grand Final scenario a story arc to talk about. We ended up with the trophy defenders and the upstarts facing off for the trophy this time around.

At ESL One Raleigh just a week earlier, PARI established themselves as a main contender and a top 5 team, after besting both BB-Team, Tundra and Spirit in back to back series. Their run in Wallachia Season 4 saw them best Team Liquid, Tidebound and Aurora to complete the infinity gauntlet of top ranked teams to beat leading into the final.

Opposing them, Team Liquid have gone through a tough few months of “mid” performances, and it was PARI themselves that spelled their demise in Raleigh. Getting to the Grand Final, meant disposing of Tundra Esports twice (third time now at a Wallachia event), Spirit and Tidebound.

PARIVISION vs Team Liquid – Matchup Breakdown

PARIVISION come into the Grand Final as the clear favorite, and yet to drop a single series in Wallachia. Their style of Dota is extremely unique, and even the top teams are having a hard time figuring out a reliable way to beat them. This newfound prominence is their play style of “dishonest” Dota.

Unorthodox picks in the hands of 9class are a real menace. From being the pioneers of position four Slark, 9class has expanded his “ratty” play style to support Terrorblade, and recently, his trademarked support Templar Assassin. The flexibility of this 21-year-old makes it nearly impossible to predict PARIVISION and their drafts. Not to mention, they boast the current best carry in the world – Satanic. The young prodigy is topping all statistical charts at the event, ranking first in the highest GPM and last hits, even averaging one death per game. He always finds a way to top the net worth charts, and his farming efficiency is unparalleled.

Team Liquid didn’t have the cleanest start to Wallachia, but they always power up the deeper an event goes. Their team chemistry feels unmatched. Even if they’re trailing 7,000 gold, they are always confident to take fights. Just look at the Lower Bracket series versus Tundra that just ended. Twice in deep deficit, twice easily getting out of it and utterly dominating.

Now, PARIVISION isn’t the greatest matchup for the boys in blue. They’ve lost seven matches in a row to PARIVISION, including a 1-2 loss in the Upper Bracket Final just yesterday. Still, sweet revenge can fuel the fire for Team Liquid to propel them to become back-to-back PGL Wallachia champions.

Can Liquid defend their Wallachia trophy, or is PARIVISION simply the best team on this patch and this spring? Lets watch together:

This final is not just for prize funds or a trophy. We have DreamLeague S25, Blast SLAM III ahead of us and EWC on the horizon, the competition seems so tightly packed that every single Dota 2 Final is a narrative clash and a unique story in itself. What a season..
