To fill in the gap between Tier 1 tournaments, you can always count on FISSURE Universe. The fifth season will be played in an online format and distribute $250,000 in prize money.
FISSURE Universe 5 Schedule and Format
FISSURE Universe 5 will run from 30 June to 3 July, and is played fully online on European servers.
The event will follow the typical format of a Dota event, involving two phases. However, four teams will immediately be eliminated after the Group Stage ends:

Group Stage: 10 teams will be divided into two groups of five. They will partake in a round-robin format, where all matches are played in Best of 2 format. The top team from each group advances to the Upper Bracket. The second and third-place teams advance to the Lower Bracket, while the remaining two teams are eliminated.

Playoffs: The FISSURE Universe 5 Playoffs will feature a double-elimination bracket. All matches are played in a Best of 3 format, except for the Grand Final, which will be played in Best of 5.
All FISSURE Universe 5 Teams
10 teams will compete in the FISSURE Universe 5 tournament. The complete list of teams competing at the event is still unknown. However, we have a good idea of how the participants will be decided.
How Can Teams Make It To The Event?
Out of the 10 participants, eight will be directly invited by the tournament organizers. You can expect some big names to receive invitations, as the previous iterations featured the top dogs like Team Spirit, Team Liquid, Tundra Esports, PARIVISION, and more. However, some of these names may skip the tournament due to the smaller prize pool.
The remaining two slots are up for grabs at the FISSURE Universe 5 Play-in. Ten teams compete in the Play-in stage through a grueling Group Stage and Playoff bracket.
FISSURE Universe 5 Prize Pool Distribution
FISSURE Universe 5 will feature a prize pool of $250,000. Though this is significantly lower than the tournaments we usually see, this amount is still respectable considering it is an online tournament that lasts less than a week.

Unfortunately, the bottom four teams will exit the tournament empty handed. Still, it should be fine since teams don’t need to spend money on travel expenses since matches are played online.
How To Watch FISSURE Universe 5
You can tune into FISSURE Universe 5 matches through various streaming platforms including Twitch, YouTube, and Kick. Some streamers may conduct their own watch parties for these matches, but remember that, since matches are played online, there will be at least a five-minute delay on streams.
