Counter-Strike Majors are the pinnacle of the competitive game. The dream goal of every player, which many at the top spend years chasing relentlessly. If you become a CS2 Major winner, your legacy in the game is secure forever. The most recent CS2 Major was the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, which was eventually won by Team Vitality. But when is the next CS2 Major? That’s what we’re here to answer.
The next CS2 Major is the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, marking the tournament organizers’ first Counter-Strike event of this magnitude since the Berlin Major back in 2019. Stage 1 of the next CS2 Major begins on November 25th, 2025, with the event coming to a close on December 14th, 2025. That’s almost three weeks of Counter-Strike taking place across four Stages, during which the best CS2 teams in the world will fight for the greatest prize the game has to offer.
The next CS2 Major is located in Budapest, Hungary, which has not typically been a huge location for Counter-Strike in the past. However, it’s an exciting opportunity for a new place to write its own legendary CS Major story in front of an expectant crowd.
The next CS2 Major will be the second one of 2025, after the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025. Two Majors in one year is fairly typical – there were a couple of exceptions at the start of CS:GO, where three Majors per year was the norm. Post-COVID, 2021 and 2023 also saw just one Major held.
Now though, it seems like it’s back to business as usual. We should be able to expect two CS2 Majors every year from here on out, giving fans plenty to look forward to in the competitive space.
