What is ADR in CS2?

In Counter-Strike 2, it’s important to become familiar with the game’s many in-game statistics to track and improve your own performance. ADR is one of the most important ways to keep track of how much impact you’re having on a match, and can be far more accurate than simply seeing how many kills you have. But if you’re new to CS, you might not know exactly what it is, or how to see it on the server. So what is ADR in CS2? Let’s find out together.

What is ADR in CS2?

What is ADR in CS2?

ADR is an acronym for “Average Damage per Round,” which indicates how much damage you’ve done across all the rounds in a match. This is calculated on a per-round basis, so for example, if you kill three enemies for 100 damage in the first round of the game, your ADR will be 300. If you don’t damage anyone in the next round, then your CS2 ADR falls to 150.

To calculate ADR, you must divide your total damage by the number of rounds played: Total Damage ÷ Rounds Played. So, for example, if you play a full 24-round game of Counter-Strike, dealing a total of 2000 damage, you would do: 2000 ÷ 24 = 83.33 ADR. This would be rounded down to 83 ADR in CS2.

You can technically have a high ADR in CS2 matches while getting zero kills. It would be a bad sign that you’re not landing your kills, but you could still be having a lot of impact by making it easier for your teammates to finish them off instead. This goes both ways, too – you can have plenty of kills on the scoreboard, but if you’re just stealing your teammate’s kills, it doesn’t necessarily mean you’re having a lot of impact on rounds.

How to see ADR in CS2

Although you can go ahead and calculate your own ADR in CS2 if you want to, it’s not entirely necessary. You can see it in-game instead. To view the CS2 ADR for everyone in the lobby, open the leaderboard by holding the Tab key, then click the small icon in the top-right that looks just like a chart. This will say “Cycle stats.” From here, simply find the ADR column, which we’ve highlighted below.

How to View ADR in CS2

Kills are one thing, but ADR really is the true test of the best CS2 players. Those who can find the most impact in every single round are always going to be at the top of the game, which is why it’s ridiculous when you find players like donk, who managed a ridiculous 97.1 ADR across all of 2025. That’s almost a kill every single round.
