MOUZ have been eliminated from the StarLadder Budapest Major 2025, falling at the hands of FaZe Clan in a 2:0 series. It’s a result that puts Hungarian AWPer torzsi out of Major contention in the Quarter-Finals. It won’t be a dream event for the hometown hero. Following the match, we caught up with torzsi to get his initial thoughts on why MOUZ were unable to get a handle on FaZe Clan here.

torzsi post-Major exit: “We are failing utility or missing flashes, and it cannot happen on a stage like this”

Daniel Morris: torzsi, commiserations. Obviously on Nuke, it was that three-round CT side that ultimately cost you the map. You won’t have a full view of it at this point, but what felt like it went wrong for you guys on that CT side?

Ádám “torzsi” Torzsás: I think on that CT side, helping A Site and holding that site down, was not too successful. And karrigan found some good rounds to exploit that. I think I could have done a better job helping them and supporting them on A because a lot of times we were two times there and we got caught. Yeah.

Daniel: You never really got going on Inferno. That time it was the T side that put you behind. What was the struggle there?

torzsi: I think the struggle on T side definitely was not sacrificing for each other. Let’s say there is a round where we kill one in Apps and we are not reacting instantly, or we were just really slow sometimes, you know? On some B executes, we are failing utility or missing flashes, and it cannot happen on a stage like this, in a Major Quarter-Final. Yeah, we were just slow and not playing together, I would say.

Daniel: Last question for you, you’ve got the one trophy this year in Cluj-Napoca. What do you think the next step is for you guys as a team to become a real championship contending team.

torzsi: Yep, good question. I’m not sure right now.
