Team Liquid have confirmed the signing of MOUZ’s benched IGL siuhy on a loan deal. The temporary deal will last until the conclusion of the BLAST.tv Austin Major 2025, with Team Liquid describing the deal as a “trial.”

The siuhy era at Team Liquid will get underway imminently, as the IGL takes over calling responsibilities from Twistzz for PGL Bucharest 2025. He will take jks’ place on the active roster, with Liquid confirming that the Aussie has been benched, effective immediately.

Team Liquid’s form has been floundering of late, with disappointing performances leaving the team looking elsewhere for results. The former MOUZ IGL has felt like a natural fit for the team ever since his surprise benching earlier this year, and the news that he has joined will be welcomed, even if it’s just on a temporary basis. It’s possible that should things go well on the server, siuhy’s move will be made permanent.

siuhy could help ultimate find his form

For me, the most exciting element of the siuhy signing is how he can help ultimate. The young AWPer is arguably the biggest cap on Liquid’s ceiling at the moment, but there’s reason to believe that siuhy offers hope in this area.

First, there’s the Polish connection. This is surface-level stuff, sure, but the fact that both ultimate and siuhy are both Polish could help the AWPer become more comfortable in the lineup. It’s easy to forget that CS players are affected by this kind of thing, but it absolutely makes a difference.

Then, there’s siuhy’s history with his last AWPer. When siuhy arrived on the MOUZ active roster, it looked as though torzsi was on the way out in the near future, having not risen to the demands of Tier 1 Counter-Strike. As IGL, siuhy managed to get a better tune from the Hungarian sniper, putting him in the right positions to become one of the best CS2 players in the world. Each player is different, of course, but the hope will be that siuhy can repeat the trick with ultimate during his time with Team Liquid.

Personally, I think siuhy to Liquid is a slam-dunk. This was always the obvious move from the team, so I’m glad to see they’ve actually gone ahead and got the deal done before the Major.
