Counter-Strike 2’s second and final Major of the year is fast approaching. Starting on November 30, 24 teams from around the globe will head to Shanghai for the first Valve Major in Asia ever. The Major is the most important prize Counter-Strike has to offer, so who is going to be there competing for it?

How do Teams Qualify for the Perfect World Shanghai Major?
Teams qualify for the Valve Majors through RMR events. These Regional Major Rankings tournaments are held leading up to each Major, their sole purpose being to decide who qualifies. Each region has a certain amount of team slots allotted to them based on their past performance at Majors. Once every team has qualified, the teams will be seeded based on their official Valve Rankings.
The RMR events vary in format and cutoff points per region. Below is a list of each Counter-Strike region, their RMR event schedule and format, and the number of teams they will send to the Perfect World Shanghai Major.

With 14 total seeds, Europe will be the last to wrap up on the 24th and then it’s just a hop, skip and 6 day wait until things kick off. This will be the last S tier CS event of the year so it’s definitely worth tuning in.
