The entry-fragger is a CS2 role that no one envies. Your job is to run in first, break open the bomb sites on the T-side, and create an opportunity for your team to capitalize on. The best CS2 entry-fraggers are those who can do this on a regular basis, finding first kills frequently and making a real impact on every single round.

There’s a lot more to this than just holding the W key and running at the CTs, though. Get it wrong, and you’re going to die. A lot. I’m going to take a look at the best entry-fraggers in CS2 for 2026, and talk you through what puts them ahead of the rest of the pack at the moment.

5. kyousuke (Falcons)

2025 was kyousuke‘s rookie year, and he more than lived up to expectations. The 18-year-old rifler was quickly touted as one of the best young CS2 players in the world, so much so that NiKo was willing to give up some of his best positions to allow kyousuke to thrive. And thrive he did. A 1.16-rated 2025 for Falcons (in his Tier 1 debut year, no less) meant he instantly became one of the best CS2 entry-fraggers, but he did develop a bad habit of going missing in the biggest matches. If he can nip this in the bud for 2026, you can expect kyousuke to finally start lifting trophies and climb even higher on this list.

4.XANTARES (Aurora)

You may have heard the phrase “XANTARES peek” before, and with good reason. Aurora‘s aggressive rifler XANTARES is among the best CS2 entry-fraggers, known for his absurdly quick wide peeks that leave his opponents wondering what on Earth just happened. He’s an absolute expert at opening up rounds for Aurora, and against lesser opposition, he consistently dominates the server. The only thing you could really say against XANTARES is that he often falls off a cliff against the top, top opponents, whereas the best CS2 entry-fraggers above him perform slightly better in this regard.

3. YEKINDAR (FURIA)

If you had said at the start of 2025 that YEKINDAR would once again be among the best CS2 entry-fraggers by the start of the next year, you’d be considered crazy. But after joining FURIA in April 2025, YEKINDAR enjoyed a career resurgence, playing a key role in the team’s rise through the rankings. YEKINDAR was exciting to watch again, eliciting the same feelings as when he first burst onto the scene with Virtus.pro all those years ago. Most importantly, it looked as though he started to enjoy Counter-Strike again, proving to be one of the most explosive riflers in the game all over again. Let’s see how he fares as expectations increase for FURIA in 2026.

2. flameZ (Vitality)

Vitality are coming off the back of arguably the greatest Counter-Strike yeat ever right now, a team of truly exceptional individuals. But, ultimately, their greatness is partly due to the fact that they’re a lot more than the sum of their parts, which is why their entry-fragger, flameZ, only makes it to second on this list. 2025 was a remarkable “coming-of-age” year for flameZ, who leveled up his game several tiers last year. He has a huge opening success rate as one of the best CS2 entry-fraggers, and without his great numbers, Vitality wouldn’t have been able to dominate throughout 2025.

1. donk (Team Spirit)

For Team Spirit, “donk go kill” is not just an occasionally employed strategy, but a way of life. And who can blame them? When you’ve got a player like donk, who is by some distance the best entry-fragger in CS2, why not play to his strengths? It doesn’t tend to matter how many opponents stand in his way – donk is a multikill expert, even when entrying, which is a big part of why he’s such a special player. His 62.2% opening success rate is beyond ludicrous. Even if he retired tomorrow, donk would be remembered as one of the best CS2 players to touch the game, such is his ridiculous impact in his short career. Perhaps his biggest intangible asset is the ice in his veins – he never seems to falter under pressure, no matter the scenario.
