Developer Riot Games has revealed the incoming changes in patch 11.09. The Valorant patch notes highlight changes to inhibit smurfing and account sharing, quality of life updates, and a large number of map and agent bug fixes.
Firstly, Riot has announced the requirement for multi-factor authentication on accounts that have been detected as having been shared in order to play Competitive queue. This change will come into effect in North America, Latin America, Brazil, and Korea, and will not affect other game modes.
A number of changes made in the latest Valorant patch are aimed at quality of life improvements — tweaks intended to make playing the game smoother, many of which can easily go unnoticed by players. In patch 11.09, such changes will focus on interactive objects, ‘anything where you press “F” on PC or Square/X on Console by default’, as per Riot’s explanation.
A wide range of bugs have been addressed in patch 11.09, across maps and agents.
