The brand new VALORANT patch 9.09 has just dropped with some new skins and other minor updates to the games. Since 9.08 was a much bigger patch, we weren’t expecting there to be a whole load of changes with this one and it seems we were right.

VALORANT Patch 9.09 – Bug Fixes and Arcane Skins

Patch Notes 9.09

As anticipated, patch 9.09 has some minor bug fixes to agents and maps but really not a whole lot else. bug fixes were given to Yoru, Gekko, Deadlock, Astra and Killjoy among others.

The most impactful is on Deadlock. Now, players who are pulled by Deadlock’s ultimate ANNIHILATION skill shouldn’t keep getting stuck on ledges. This skill is used for crowd control and can detain enemies – simple to use, tricky to master. It’ll be worth keeping an eye on Deadlock in patch 9.09!

It’s also good to see the bug on Prowler being fixed for Fade. The Prowler gathers intel by fixing onto the nearest enemy and gives nearsight on impact. But recently, there has been a bug where enemies could outrun the Prowler, making it basically useless. Now, unless the enemy teleports out of the line of sight, Prowler will continue to track the target.

It’s a small patch but a patch nonetheless. We’ll be hoping for some bigger changes when the dust has settled on 9.08.

The new skins were announced a couple of days ago and actually…aren’t available yet. You’ll only be able to buy these these limited edition skins from November 7th – December 5th at 2pm PT.

The new bundle bring League of Legends to VALORANT and includes a Vandal skin inspired by Jinx and a set of melee gauntlets paying homage to Vi. RIOT already confirmed in their blog post that you won’t be able to actually smash people’s faces in though, it’s merely cosmetic. I’ve got to say though, the explosive shots from the Vandal are extremely satisfying.

The bundle will also include a player card, gun buddy and spray.
