Game Changers Championship Bracket Revealed: Full Breakdown on Seoul Matchups

Game Changers Championship Teams: How They Reached Seoul

The ten teams confirmed for the Main Event and the routes they used to qualify are:

  • Team Liquid Brazil earned their ticket as Brazil’s finals representative, bringing the roster that won the regional final in a closely contested game into Seoul.
  • Nova Esports GC qualified via winning China Stage 2, arriving as one of the Chinese region’s representatives after dominating the entire year regionally without losing any series.
  • G2 Gozen is the EMEA Stage 3 winner and is the top seed from EMEA. They won the first-ever GCC.
  • Karmine Corp GC is the second EMEA seed and made it by way of EMEA circuit points, and also won both Stage 1 and Stage 2 of GC EMEA.
  • GIANTX GC is the third EMEA seed and they also entered through EMEA circuit points thanks to second place finishes in Stage 1 and 2 of GC EMEA.
  • KRÜ BLAZE represents LATAM after winning the LATAM grand final over Akave.
  • Shopify Rebellion Gold (SRG) qualified from North America Stage 2 as the region’s top entrant after winning Stage 2 of Game Changers NA, and are also the 2x winners of the previous editions of the GCC.
  • Xipto Esports GC dominated the GC Pacific event, winning it by dropping only one map and not losing a single series to be the Pacific region’s #1 seed.
  • Ninetails came second at Game Changers Pacific to qualify as the second seed from Pacific.
  • MIBR GC won the Americas LCQ to qualify as the fourth team from Americas.

Upper Bracket Openers and Key Matches

Upper Round 1 opens with Pacific’s second seed Ninetails against Chinese representative Nova Esports GC and the other Round 1 match on that side shows Americas GC LCQ winners MIBR GC facing EMEA’s 3rd seed GIANTX GC. The quarterfinals bracketed above those matches have EMEA top seed G2 Gozen in a top quarterfinal slot facing off against the winners of the first Upper Round 1 Game.

The North American reps and the winners of the previous two iterations of the GCC, Shopify Rebellion Gold, will go up against the winners of the second Upper Round 1 game. Team Liquid Brazil versus KRÜ BLAZE and Xipto Esports GC versus Karmine Corp GC are the two other quarter final matchups aside from the G2 and SRG games.

One early storyline to watch concerns MIBR GC and Shopify Rebellion Gold. The bracket layout means that, depending on results, a deep early rematch between the two is possible. If MIBR can get past GIANTX GC in Upper Round 1, they might end up facing off against SRG early in the bracket run. Last year’s Championship was defined by the SRG versus MIBR final, with Shopify Rebellion taking the title.

If the teams meet again at Seoul, a repeat of that grand-final rematch narrative is a realistic possibility with one major difference: SRG’s star player from 2023 and 2024: Ava “florescent” Eugene is no longer on the roster. It remains to be seen how SRG will fare internationally against other storied teams.

As opening day approaches, one thing is certain: this year’s Game Changers Championship combines established rivalries, rising regions, and high-stakes matches, ensuring this event shapes up to be one of the most compelling tournaments in Game Changers history.
