Evil Geniuses always make waves with their off-season roster moves. In both good and band, under constant for their roster moves, they achieved unprecedented results. They even won with a roster that almost didn’t even make it to Champions. This VCT off-season, it seems EG is at it again with a new VALORANT roster and mascot.

Evil Geniuses cooking with new VALORANT Roster and Mascot
The escapees from the “Contract Jail”, a.k.a the old members of the VCT winning era have all found new homes. And with that, plenty of opportunities for new talent have made their way in.
At the helm, once again we have Christine “potter” Chi, looking to take another set of hopefuls on a trophy run. Once again she’ll have Mike “pho” Panza riding shotgun as Assistant Coach. This time, with a sidekick in tune. EG Meesh joins the roster as the org’s new mascot. Showing off their unvailing as part of their new player announcements.
Meesh is cute and a great addition for an org that has definitely come under fire previously for being out of touch with its fans with their Champions winning merch, and disasterous rebrand(s). What they’ll be bringing to the table in terms of firepower is yet to be seen, but I for one hope they’re available as a Gun Buddy in the EG bundle at some point.

Who’s playing for EG VALORANT for VCT 2025
For the actual roster that will be clicking heads and taking names, a player with oddly fitting high highs and low lows. EG finished off a pretty eventful set of player announcements with the news that the pre-VCT superstar Jaccob “yay“ Whiteaker would be joining the roster.
While he wasn’t able to hit these same highs of dominating the servers on Optic while he was briefly on Cloud9, or returned to VCT with BLEED, one always remains hopeful that El Diablo will be back to his former glory with this next move, maybe lighting up the world with Chamber if the season allows.
Joining Yay is a returning 4 man from their 2024 team.
- Jaccob “yay“ Whiteaker (Expected to play Sentinel / Duelist)
- Jacob “icy” Lange returns, being given his flowers for his work as part fo the 10 man roster that rotated in and out on route to the championship winning roster. (Duelist / Initiator)
- Phat “supamen” Le returns in the Controller role
- Nicholas “NaturE” Garrison as the team’s IGL once again. (Sentinel / Controller)
- Derrek “Derrek” Ha will be returning as the team’s Initiator.
The roles could be flexible depending on the maps and where there’s role overlap there’s bound to be flexibility. We look forward to seeing if this is once again a return to stardom for Potter and Meech at VCT Americas Kickoff.
