Rainbow Six Siege X membership is the game’s replacement for the Year X Pass that the game had until Year 8. Going forward, the game will use the membership system, but what is it?
In this article, we’ll go over what the membership is, if it’s worth it for you, and what value it actually contains.
In short, the Rainbow Six Siege X membership replaces the Year Pass, by bundling in a bunch of credits, and access to the Premium Battle Pass. It also includes a monthly collection of legendary and epic gear. You can purchase access on a monthly basis or buy it for 12 months in advance for a “saving” of 33%.
The membership costs £7.99 / €9.99 a month or £65.99 / €79.99 for the full year. The yearly pass will still get the content each month, the yearly membership gets one extra legendary set a year, otherwise it’s just about the cost.
The membership also stacks with the usual seasonal events, allowing you to claim event packs and rewards as normal. Nothing in the membership replaces the free content; it just gives you more content on top.

Over the course of a year, you’ll get the following rewards:
You can see each month’s content on the Ubisoft website, alongside a countdown for when each one comes to an end. Each month does not run from the 1st to the final day, so make sure you are ready to claim.
Note: You need to go into the game to claim the drops. You can’t back-claim items, so make sure to do it before the window ends.
If you want to optimise your rewards, join the programme at the end of the month to double up on rewards.
Overall, yes, the new membership is better, though it does cost $20 more overall, but it is fairly flexible.
Membership gains the following over the Year Pass:
Obviously, the advantage of it also being a monthly plan, rather than a big one-off purchase it makes it easier for some to digest. You can also just subscribe when you want. Plus, if you do intend to buy each month, the 33% discount is very good.
The only real downside is that none of this includes instant access to any new Operators. These still drop via the Battle Pass or the Renown/Credit systems as normal.
Overall, yes, the membership is better, especially if you want the Battle Passes anyway, as this allows you to spend once a year or just subscribe each month as and when you want to.
If Rainbow Six Siege X is one of your go-to games, and you want to support it, then membership is a good thing to pick up. But, at the end of the day, it’s only cosmetic stuff, which no one really needs anyway.
