SIBOL Philippines has released their roster for their 2025 National Team for MLBB to compete in the upcoming IESF World Esports Championship 2025. Last year, the Philippines lost to Malaysia with a final score of 0-2, where the roster of RRQ Kaito, with Team Falcons’ KyleTzy, were the ones to represent the country. Team Philippines have always moved on to the Grand Finals of every IESF but only lost twice back in 2022 and 2024. This will be another opportunity for Team Philippines to restore the glory and win once again in the IESF World Esports Championship.

SIBOL Philippine National Team for 2025 Roster Released

The SIBOL Qualifiers

The tournament for the selection of the team to represent the Philippines happened on April 7-8, 2025 for the Women’s League, while the Men’s were done on April 21-23, 2025. There were qualifiers conducted before the main qualifiers to determine the final teams to compete as the representatives of the Philippines. The Women’s league consisted of 5 teams for the main qualifier while the Men’s league had 10 teams to select from.

For the Women’s League, last year’s representatives, Omega Empress, were invited directly while the other 4 teams went through the qualifiers consisting of 20 select teams. Surprisingly, Team Liquid Aqua put up a great fight against Omega Empress, putting the current reigning champions in a tough spot. This was the first time that the Omega Empress had a hard time against any team they have encountered. In the end, Omega Empress left as the winner with a score of 3-2 for the Women’s IESF Qualifiers. Their coach selected another player from the teams who competed in the qualifiers to fill their roster.

For the Men’s League, things were much more intense as most of the teams that qualified from the 33 select are MPL Philippines franchise teams. ONIC Philippines and RRQ Kaito were invited as they were the previous national representatives of the Philippines in 2024. The main qualifiers consisted of 10 teams, divided into 2 groups to determine the top 4. Team Falcons, Team Liquid PH, Team Liquid PH Academy and ONIC Philippines were the final four with Team Liquid PH and Team Falcons both at the top. The Grand Finals for the qualifiers were also intense as Team Liquid PH had a 2-0 start from the get go but Team Falcons reverse swept them shocking everyone that thought Team Liquid PH already had it in the bag.

The SIBOL MLBB Men’s team selection happened after the qualifiers with what they called the SIBOL Combine to test out the top 4 teams in different rosters. This determined the final team that would compete for IESF World Esports Championship 2025, but since Team Falcons won the qualifiers, they had a huge advantage of being selected. In addition to the entire roster of Team Falcons being selected, the coach added two strong players from different teams that would bolster their roster heavily.
