Following the series against FlyQuest, we had a chat with the charismatic TSW Taki to talk about how the passion for dancing started, which champion he would like to remove from the game, andwhat he thinks about SkewMond and Caps’ dance moves.

How do you feel after the series against FlyQuest? Can you elaborate on what you think went wrong in the match?

Taki: We have had a lot of things prepared, but sadly things didn’t go exactly as we have planned. I think it’s mostly in the early game where we fed the Azir with our early mistakes and he got pretty strong from the start. We felt pretty bad for dying randomly in the early stages.

You’re 1-2 in Swiss stage now. Is there any team you would like to play next? Do you think that the BO3 format will be an advantage for you?

Taki: As for the next match, our opponent could be Gen.G or T1. [It] would be nice to have someone easier, someone on our level, but getting T1 or Gen G would also be nice too because we’ll have a lot to learn from them. As for the Bo3 format, I think it’s advantageous for us because if we were to make any mistake on the first game, we could always have a second chance to fix it.

Davide: Is there any player in particular that you aspire to? Is there a player you would like to face the most? Could you also give me your top five supports rankings?

Taki: My top five would be Keria, ON, Duro, Kael and Hang. And as for the player that I want to face the most, that would be Keria because I faced him once three years ago in an MSI and I really adore him. I really admire him.

Davide: We know that you’re very famous for your dance moves and your TikToks.

Can you tell me how the dancing thing started for you? And is there any dance style you like?

Taki: I’m really thankful that you guys appreciated the dance moves and stuff. All this dancing started out when I was just doing some dancing with my teammates and that got filmed. And I was just trying to be positive with my friends, with my teammates, but luckily it seems like the internet has taken it well, taken it positively. And I would like to spread the positivity.

As for the dancing, my favorite dancing style, it should be anything that is hip involved, because I have been doing it since high school.

Davide: I have a reel to show you.

How do you rate G2 Skewmond and Caps’ dance?

Taki: I’m just gonna rate it 4 out of 10. I have seen this yesterday and I think they’re not really passionate. They haven’t given us everything they have yet.

Davide: Will you spend some time to teach SkewMond and Caps some dancing?

Taki: Yes.

Davide: What would you like to teach them?

Taki: I’m gonna teach them to dance on that exact song and I’m gonna teach them on how to dance a little bit more naturally.

Davide: How does it feel to be the captain of the team?

What’s the one thing you’ve learned this year as the captain of the squad?

Taki: At first I felt really pressured, but over time I got used to it. I think something that you learn from being a captain is that everything you do is setting an example for your team, so you have to watch out for what you are doing.

Davide: The next question is a new one because the announcement came yesterday. The winter map has been confirmed in League to return this winter. The [new] visual maps every time, the visual cues and stuff… it’s pretty tiring for me.

What do you think about it?

Taki: I prefer the traditional map style, but I understand the fact that they have to keep changing it to spice things up.

Davide: Why is that?

Taki: I have played with the original maps for a very, very long time, and recently they’ve been putting out new maps and I have to get used to seeing them.

Davide: We’re wrapping up our interview.

Is there any message you want to say to your Vietnamese fans or TSW fans?

Taki: Thank you for supporting me and my team. Thank you very much.
