After their first win at Worlds in the opening round of the Swiss stage, we talked with ADC player TSW Eddie about the series, his love for Viper, and how it is to play with Taki.
Davide: Can you tell me a little bit about the impressions on the match?
Eddie: I’m really happy to have my victory. My first game at Worlds, which is also a victory. I was a little bit nervous at first, but I was able to pull myself up and play the best as I could.
Davide: Moving to the series. What was the approach after the draw yesterday? It seemed like you really wanted to negate the enemy mid laner Mireu by banning out the picks.
Eddie: With the current meta, all of the players should have pretty much the same champion pool anyway. But we felt like their mid laner was the star of the show, so we tried to hinder him as much as possible.
Davide: You have been playing for Team Secret for quite some time. I think you started back in 2020. How did you evolve as a player over the past four, five years?
Eddie: [It’s] six years. I come after such a long time in Team Secret. I have been through many generations of players and I have learned from each and every one of them. Now that my time at Worlds has come, I will use whatever I’ve learned.
Davide: I know you are a big Viper fan. If I’m correct, have you had the chance to meet him? And can you tell me why you like him the most?
Eddie: I haven’t had the chance to actually meet him in person and talk to him. As for what I like about him, I like his playstyle, I like how he carries his team, and he’s handsome.
Davide: I guess you’re not the only one with that. Do you rate him as the best ADC Worlds? Or do you think there are other players out there? I’ve been asking all players their top five from their role.
Eddie: Guma, Ruler, and Viper. Can I stop at three?
Davide: Okay, we’ll take three. That’s fine. I know you that the TSW guys really like to have fun.
Hopefully enemy support's moves in game are not as smooth as irl otherwise we are cookedpic.twitter.com/klkAHNhdL1

Eddie: Saki is a cheerful guy who always makes other people happy. So he really creates an atmosphere, a very friendly atmosphere for the team.
Davide: Are you planning on learning dance moves from him?
Eddie: Nope. I’m introvert.
Davide: Considering this is your first time in China,
Eddie: I like the weather here. It’s not too hot, not too cold. It’s perfect. As for the food, if I could somehow manage to stay longer, I’ll explore more cuisines.
Eddie: Thank you all to the fans who have supported us on this journey so far. And I would like to express my thanks to the sponsors.
