LCK Season Opening event gets New Format and Noxus Summoner’s Rift

The LCK will have the honor of opening the 2025 LoL Competitive season and showcase the brand new Summoner’s Rift.

Scheduled for January 10, the “new” All-Star event for the LCK Season Opening will see players draft their own teams and play a unique match format. All laners will by grouped based on roles forming five different teams. Each team will be drafted by a team captain and compete in a single-elimination BO1 tournament bracket.

Superstar Captains and new Noxus Rift Showcase

It seems, we are getting a talent showcase before the LCK Cup even starts. The new Summoner’s Rift is also going to going to be played at this event as well. It even has a prize pool for the event MVP to make sure no one slacks.

We also have five superstar team captains selected:

• Team TOP: Kiin
• Team JGL: Peanut
• Team MID: Faker
• Team BOT: Gumayusi
• Team SUP: Delight
