South Korean lawmaker Jeon Yong-gi called the entire esports sector to take action against the harassment suffered by former T1 player Lee “Gumayusi” Min-hyung, following the departure from the team.
Through a public statement on social media, the member of the Democratic Party asked esports bodies, online platforms and government institutions to take coordination action against the cyberbulling towards the player, who has been targeted heavily over the past years.
In particular, the ADC player has been target of orchestrated attacks from members of the “T1 응원 갤러리” (“T1 Minor Support Gallery”), also known as T1Gall, through an online platform called DCInside .

"T1Gall (티응갤) are not true T1 fans—they are an organized group whose main goal is to spread hatred towards one of the team's players. Their actions go far beyond sports criticism, reaching the level of harassment, threats, and terrorizing.… pic.twitter.com/6a5D8GeZlr

The Worlds 2025 champions and Finals MVP faced persistent harassment throughout the season, including spread of false rumors, delivery of funeral wreaths and trucks to protest at the T1 headquarters, physical threats, and other forms of cyber abuse.
The lawmaker condemned the behavior, noting that “cheering for a team can never be used as a justification for singling out a specific player for abuse” and suggested that the cyberbullying must not stem from genuine fan passion. “When criticism persists even after Gumayusi has decided to leave T1, it is hard to believe it comes from any true spirit of support,” he added.
As a result, Yong-gi asked that all Korean esports institutions, including the Korea eSports Association (KeSPA) and Riot Games Korea, to intervene. He also asked to remove harmful content on DCInside, stating that the platforms “cannot evade their responsibilities any longer”.
“We must protect all athletes—not just Gumayusi. Every esport player should be respected and supported, not sacrificed for controversy or profit,” Jeon concluded. He finished his message by urging fans and the global esports community to “put an end to these abuses and work together to build a safer and healthier digital and sporting culture.”
