The KeSPA Cup 2025 has unveiled the group stage draw results that will be kicking off the League of Legends action in the offseason.
For the first time ever, North American teams Team Liquid and Cloud9 will be competing in the KeSPA Cup. They will be joined by the teams competing in the LCK and two all-star rosters from Japan and Vietnam.
The groups will be distributed as follows:
Group A
Group B
Group C
Looking at how the groups have been distributed, the KeSPA Cup seems to guarantee great action from the get-go. Hanwha Life Esports and Gen.G will have a rematch after the Worlds 2025 quarterfinals and will be joined by C9, who will have a golden opportunity to learn from some of the best teams in the world.
The same thing applies to Team Liquid, who has been matched with the world champions T1 and NS RedForce, which put together an interesting roster with Korean mid laner Scout as well as veterans like Kingen and Lehends. Group B will also have guaranteed action since all teams have made roster changes in the offseason.

After splitting the 14 teams into the three different groups, each one will play single-game (best-of-one) round-robin matches. The first-place team from each group will advance to the semifinals, with the second-place teams fighting for the fourth and last remaining spot in the Breakout Stage. This phase will see teams play best-of-three series in a round robin and the team with the most points will advance. The Group and Breakout stage will be held online from December 6 to December 9.
The top four will then compete in a double-elimination bracket to determine the champion. The first two rounds will feature best-of-three while the grand final will be a best-of-five. The Knockout Phase will take place at the Sangam SOOP Colosseum in Korea from December 11 to December 14. A 100m KRW prize pool will be on the line, distributed between the top four teams.
The tournament will be streamed on Disney+ and is sponsored by Logitech G. That said, it’s still unclear where the broadcast is exclusive to South Korea or it will be global.
Nonetheless, this marks the first time a major streaming platform broadcasts the event, further proving that esports is moving more and more towards mainstream platforms. Earlier this year, the LCK Grand Finals were broadcast live on MBC, a major terrestrial network in Korea.
