Best Champions you should play in League of Legends [Patch 26.8]

Best Champions for every role

Key Takeaways

  • The best champs to play in this patch are Singed, Shen, Ahri, Jinx and Sona.
  • There have been no changes at all in the top lane so the rankings remained the same.
  • Lillia got buffed in the jungle but it wasn’t enough to reach the top three.
  • In the mid lane Mel got nerfed and Hwei buffed, the list is still dominated from Ahri, Lissandra and Kow’Mag.
  • In the support pool Thresh stands high thanks to his incredible utility if combined with hyper carry champions

This patch has arrived with a very small update since this is the last one before the season two update.

We’ll continue to update the list as the season continues. Check out our full tier lists to find out where your main picks are ranked.

Best Top Laners Patch 26.8 – Singed, Garen, Gangplank

Despite the nerfs he received, Singed is still here in the top rankings, his ultimate got slightly nerfed but this hasn’t still been enough to take him out the top lane meta.

Garen’s play rate has sky rocketed since the last patch as it went up to 13% making of him the most played top laner of the patch, but that’s not all since he has an insanely high 52.3% win-rate, thanks to all those factor he secures a top three placement. Gangplank remains close behind in third place, largely because he also came through the patch untouched.

Best Junglers Patch 26.8 – Shen, Xin Zhao, Naafiri

Jungle meta hasn’t really changed, Naafiri’s hubris build is still incredibly strong. Meanwhile Shen and Xin Zhao anyway are still the best options in terms of map impact and power level, Naafiri is an insanely strong assassin Jungler but still not at the level of those two champions.

Best Mid Laners Patch 26.8 – Ahri, Kog’Maw, Lissandra

Ahri continues to sit comfortably at the top of the tier list. Her wave clear is slightly less oppressing in the opening minutes, but she still reaches her core spikes with enough tempo to take over the map. Unless Riot targets her mobility or charm duration, she stays the queen of the mid lane.

The rest of the pool is looking just as familiar. Kog’Maw is still a powerhouse for those sticking to the Dusk and Dawn tech, providing a level of scaling most mages can’t match. Meanwhile, Lissandra is enjoying her stay in the S-tier. That Q cooldown buff from last patch has turned her into a roaming machine, allowing her to shove waves and impact side lanes before her opponents can even react.

Best ADCs Patch 26.8 – Jinx, Miss Fortune, Xayah

ADC’s have not been touched at all in this patch so the nothing has changed at all in the power rankings. Jinx continues to dominate Solo Queue thanks to her strong 1v9 potential, especially when paired with enchanter supports, who remain highly influential in the current meta. Miss Fortune and Xayah also retain their status as reliable picks, carrying over their strength from the previous patch.

Best Supports Patch 26.8– Sona, Thresh, Milio

On the other hand the support pool did see some movement. Thresh has officially reached the top three, replacing Soraka as the go-to pick for players looking for kill pressure and utility. Meanwhile, Sona continues to be the queen of the role. She remains completely untouched at the top of the standings and looks to stay there as long as her scaling goes unpunished.
