The HCS Charlotte Major 2025 gets underway tomorrow, marking the beginning of the end of an era. For Halo Infinite, it is the second-to-last Major ever, with the game’s competitive swan song taking place later this month at the Halo World Championship.

This ramps up the intrigue around the HCS Charlotte Major 2025. A final chance for teams and players to write their names into the history books in North Carolina. We’ve taken a look at all the teams ready to take to the server and slay their way to victory – these are our HCS Charlotte Major 2025 Power Rankings.

It’s important to note that four more teams will take part in the HCS Charlotte Major 2025, arriving via the Open Bracket on day one. We obviously don’t know all the teams here yet, but keep an eye on the Australian team Mindfreak if they manage to make it through.

OpTic and Shopify Rebellion to reignite rivalry at the top

In the two previous HCS Majors of 2025, Shopify Rebellion and OpTic Gaming have found themselves head-to-head in the Grand Final. They are one win apiece: OpTic struck the first blow at HCS Major Arlington 2025, before Shopify Rebellion got their own back in Salt Lake City.

There is no discussion about who the top two Halo teams are right now. Shopify Rebellion and OpTic Gaming are leagues above the rest, and should really be the only two teams we see in the Grand Final on Championship Sunday. It’s been a fiery rivalry throughout 2025 so far between these two, and Halo fans wanting to see the best the game has to offer should hope for a Final rematch at HCS Charlotte Major 2025.

Both teams have tons of Major-winning experience in their ranks. An OpTic side littered with winners, headlined by FormaL, the controller GOAT. On the other, Royal2, a veteran since the Halo 3 days. And that’s before you even get to Frosty, who has three Halo World Championship titles to his name. You could split these teams by a hair, and I can’t wait to see who comes out on top.

The chasing pack are fighting for scraps at HCS Charlotte Major 2025

Spacestation Gaming HCS 2025

We’ve already established that the top two should be running away with proceedings at the HCS Charlotte Major 2025. Still, there’s plenty to play for. FaZe Clan and Spacestation Gaming remain the best of the rest, but even the most ardent of fans would struggle to argue that their roster moves this year have been particularly successful. Pre-Major scrim performances have been telling for both teams, and it wouldn’t be too surprising to see one make an early exit in North Carolina.

TSM, Luminon, and OMiT are the other teams to watch at HCS Charlotte Major 2025. TSM gave a good account of themselves at both the Dallas Open and SLC Major, and with more time together, it will be exciting to see how they’ve developed. Luminon are the very best European Halo has to offer, having been a surprise package throughout the year under the Team Nemesis banner. I want to see them push to a Semi-Finals finish here to improve on previous Major results. And as for OMiT, they’re more a curiosity with names like LethuL and Spartan involved. I’m not expecting anything spectacular from them at HCS Charlotte Major 2025.
