Another new Fortnite skin is now available to unlock! The Cuddle Team Rider skin can be unlocked starting now! While some quests for the character have been in the game for a little while already, it’s only from today that there’s been enough of them available to earn the big reward though. Players can now finish it up and get the Cuddle Team Rider Fortnite skin for free. But it will take a bit of a back and forth.
These quests are quite similar to ones we’ve seen in the past for the Summer. They essentially task players with grinding XP in Fortnite. The Winter Rush Fortnite quests are different though. You can’t just hang out in tycoon modes or Battle Royale. You have to go around tonds of modes now, maybe even Rocket Racing.
Not only do you have to check through different modes before you can complete them, but it’s got an extra requirement. It’s one of the quests that needs players to buddy up with a fellow player to earn the Cuddle Team Rider. This is how the Winter Rush quests work and how you can get Cuddle Team Rider unlocked as quick as possible.

One of the new free skins as we move from Fortnite Chapter 6 into 7 has been Cuddle Team Rider. It’s a new skin which is a different version of the Cuddle Team Leader character. That’s the mascot headed character which has become iconic in Fortnite. Even getting their own landmark in an older Fortnite season, the Rave Cave on the map in Chapter 3.
This version mashes them up with a motorcycle rider to create a different Cuddle Team character. It also has an animated electronic face rather than the normal stitched up one. To unlock this Fortnite skin for free, you need to complete the Winter Rush quests. These are incremental quests of XP.
For each stage, you earn a set amount of XP in Creative modes or Epic made modes with a friend in your party. It only counts if you’re partied up unfortunately. To get the full Cuddle Team Rider, you’ll have to reach the end of the quests. Before that, you’ll unlock a handful of other items. Including the other items to match this skin in your Fortnite locker afterwards.

Those are each of the rewards for Winter Rush! You’ll get one more as you finish each one of the tiers. But there’s more than one way to get the Cuddle Team Rider outfit and other items.

If you played in the Summer for the free car quests we’ve seen before, then you’ll remember this design of quest. For Winter Rush, you need to party up with someone else and earn XP in various game modes. There are tiers for playing in Battle Royale modes, like actual BR or even Reload. However, others for Creative… and then there’s some particularly strange modes you need to play to get Cuddle Team Rider.
For the eligible ones, it’s probably quickest to go with the best Fortnite XP maps. These will finish off the Tycoon quests and probably another type of tier. This time though, it’s not just a general “creative modes”. Instead, it’s asking you to check out Rocket Racing and Lego Fortnite too. Players will typically jump into any mode that Epic puts a quest in front of, so this might even get a few more players back into Rocket Racing. For however long it takes to earn the XP.

In the past, these quests let you just use XP maps for all of them. It has changed this time. You’ll need to party up alongside a friend and head to all these different maps. It’s probably going to take a while more casually. You’ll be better served finding a single person who wants to do the quests with you.
Then, just systematically working through the alternative mode quests. After completing as many in normal game modes as you can, work through the easiest alternative modes. You’ll only need to do nine this time, so it’s pretty achievable.
Once you’ve completed those, the Winter Rush quests will unlock the Cuddle Team Rider for free! Along with those other rewards too, that’s the only free Fortnite skin though. The whole thing might take a week or two to get sorted considering the Chapter 7 update is coming, and players might be more interested in the new map than Lego.
