DreamLeague is still going strong in Dota 2, as we’ve reached the 27th iteration of the event. Like the previous seasons, DreamLeague will be held online and feature a few dozen matches to tune into.
The 27th season of DreamLeague will run from October 13 to 19. ESL is going for a different approach compared to other iterations, as this event will feature 12 teams and stray away from the double Group Stage format DreamLeague Season 26 was using.
Though nothing is confirmed yet, we speculate the event will be played online, similar to previous seasons.
The tournament format will include the following phases:
The participants for DreamLeague Season 27 are yet to be revealed, as this tournament will occur after The International. We will likely see tons of roster shuffles prior to the event, so it’s hard to predict who will be invited.
Though the participants are unknown, one thing is clear. The top four teams in the EPT Leaderboard will be directly invited to the event. The remaining teams will be decided based on regions and qualifiers.
DreamLeague Season 27 will distribute $1,000,000 in prize money, with $750,000 awarded as player prize money while $250,000 are awarded as club reward.
| Placement | Player Prize Money |
| 1st | $300,000 |
| 2nd | $175,000 |
| 3rd | $120,000 |
| 4th | $85,000 |
| 5th – 6th | $57,500 |
| 7th – 8th | $47,500 |
| 9th – 10th | $30,000 |
| 11th – 12th | $25,000 |
DreamLeague Season 27 matches will be very accessible through ESL’s channel on streaming platforms such as YouTube and Twitch. However, since the tournament will likely be played online, expect some stream delays up to five minutes!
