OG Announces Return of Monkey Business Show

There is a surprising lack of esports podcasts out there. Well, not lack exactly, but there aren’t as many as I’d have thought there would be by this point in the golden age of podcasting. The OG Monkey Business podcast hasn’t released an episode since 2023. The last episode on Apple podcasts was from way back when Valve announced the end of Dota battle passes. But now, the show is returning on November 21st.

OG Announces Return of Monkey Business Show

OG is soo back

This is something I’ve found myself saying a lot in recent weeks, especially after watching OG take down Gaimin Gladiators in the regional qualifiers for ESL One Bangkok. Let’s be clear, I’m a pretty unapologetic OG fan so this is great news for me.

Since the original OG lineup disbanded, fans don’t have a lot of contact with them beyond Ceb, who is still playing for OG albeit as a position 5 instead of 3. NoTail, on the other hand, hasn’t played Dota professionally since 2022 so fans really don’t get to keep up with him outside of OG Hubs at events like The International.

What to expect in the first episode

In the official OG Discord server, it was announced that a special episode of the Monkey Business Show would be filmed at the Sunflower House in Lisbon on November 21st.

The guests for this special episode include NoTail, Ceb, new coach Khezu and the Dota team. I think this means the full roster line up for 2025 and not the stand ins playing out the tail end of this year, but I’d be happy either way. I think we can be safe in the knowledge that Ari and Wisper will be putting in an appearance.

Where to watch/listen to the Monkey Business Show

The first episode of this revival is going to be released on November 21st. We haven’t been given a time zone schedule, as OG so often do but there are just a few more days to wait. If the episode is being filmed in Lisbon, it’ll likely fit in with the CET time zone.

If it’s anything like the old format for the show, you’ll be able to watch and/or listen really wherever you want. Whether on YouTube, podcast apps like Apple Podcasts, Spotify or even if you just want to see clips on Instagram, OG don’t exactly make it difficult to find.
