With Dopplers being among the most popular skins for CS2 knives, many players are interested in all the CS2 Doppler Phases. If you’re new to collecting Counter-Strike skins, knowing all the details of each CS2 Doppler Phase and patterns can be quite daunting at first.
With our Doppler Phase guide for CS2, you’ll soon be able to tell your Black Pearl from your Ruby. There are seven CS2 Doppler Phases in total, so get ready to learn a thing or two.
CS2 Doppler Phases define the color of these specific knives. From reds, blues, purples, and pinks, each of the seven Doppler Phases in CS2 is a way for the community to categorize these knives.
Because there’s so much variety found in the CS2 Doppler Phase patterns, the price of each can vary massively.

CS2 Doppler Phase 1 knives are defined by their bold purple and pink hues, with those two making up the majority of the knife. There’s even some black coloring in there occasionally. Most Doppler Phase 1 knives in CS2 will have more purple than pink – any with more of the latter would usually fall into the next category. Of all the CS2 Doppler Phases, you can expect Phase 1 options to generally be among the cheapest.

All CS2 Doppler Phase 2 knives are notable for being very, very heavy on the pinks. There are some slight purple accents found in Phase 2 CS2 Dopplers, making it pretty much the opposite of Phase 1 options. The overwhelmingly pink aesthetic has led to Phase 2 becoming the most expensive of the four traditional CS2 Doppler Phases – more on the other three later. Pair these with some pink CS2 gloves for a budget-breaking but beautiful combo.

Doppler Phase 3 knives aren’t exactly the most popular option. These CS2 Doppler Phases are instantly recognizable for being largely blue, but with a hint of purple and green sprinkled throughout. If you want the aesthetic of a Sapphire but don’t quite want to pay the price, then picking up a CS2 Doppler Phase 3 knife could be the way forward.

The last of the main base CS2 Doppler Phases is Phase 4. These knives are a hybrid between blue and black, although blue is still the dominant color here, much like Phase 3. These generally cost a little more than Phase 3, but there’s not too much in it if you’re deciding between the two. Always check the pattern of these Doppler Phases in CS2 – some have much more black across the base than others.

The CS2 Doppler Sapphire Phase is usually the most expensive Doppler option of all. They are a perfect blue throughout, making them extremely sought-after by knife collectors. When it comes to any blue loadout, adding a Sapphire CS2 Doppler Phase knife to the mix will always elevate it.

If Sapphires are the perfect blue CS2 Doppler Phases, I’m sure you can guess what a Ruby is. Instantly recognizable due to their perfect red color throughout, you can expect to pay an enormous premium for any Ruby CS2 Doppler knives. If you’re putting together a red CS2 loadout and have the cash, then a Ruby Doppler is a must-have.

Last (but certainly not least) is the CS2 Doppler Black Pearl Phase. The hints of deep purple and black seen in areas of other Phases make up the entirety of the Black Pearl, without any of the lighter elements that some players don’t like. They are ultra-rare CS2 Doppler Phases, and have an extraordinary price tag to reflect that.
Although it’s not the most expensive, the Black Pearl is generally considered to be the rarest CS2 Doppler Phase. This is down to community sentiment based on numbers appearing on trading sites – the actual CS2 Doppler rarity figures are unknown.
Valve does not reveal the odds of getting any of the CS2 Doppler Phases. That makes the real CS2 Doppler rarity hard to quantity, leaving it up to the community to guess.
Overall, Sapphires tend to be the most expensive CS2 Doppler Phase. Rubies and Black Pearls aren’t far behind, but it’s the Sapphire that takes the lead.
Not every CS2 knife is available in a Doppler variant, although there are only a few exceptions. You can get the following CS2 Doppler knives:
