It was always going to be these two, wasn’t it? Falcons and Vitality are headed to the Final of BLAST Rivals Spring 2025, showcasing once again why these two are the best CS2 teams in the world right now. Despite this status, it feels as though a herculean task awaits Falcons. Vitality come into the game on a 24-match winning streak – the longest in the modern era, officially eclipsing Team Liquid’s previous tally of 23. Some (me) would even call it a Vitality era.
And yet, despite it all, I can’t help but feel that Falcons have a real chance in this one. Call it a hunch, call it blind faith, call it whatever you want – there’s just something that makes me feel as though Falcons are going to upset the odds and beat Vitality to win BLAST Rivals Spring 2025. Why? Read on to find out my reasons!
Yeah, I could talk about the NiKo and m0NESY factor for Falcons. But we already know they’re great, and they’re in fine form at BLAST Rivals Spring 2025. They’ll be key to an eventual victory, but I want to talk about Magisk. The four-time Major-winning anchor has come in for his share of criticism in recent months, with some feeling he could be the first to go should Falcons make changes in the post-m0NESY era.
The problem with Magisk is that his ceiling is so, so high, so you have to gamble that he reaches those peaks. When in form, he’s arguably the GOAT anchor, and can get incredible value from some very tough positions. But when out of form, he looks like a liability from a past era of Counter-Strike, but at BLAST Rivals Spring, the rifler has rolled back the years to show why his trophy cabinet is among the best in history. He’s officially online in Copenhagen with a 1.11 event rating, and if he can show up against his former team, then that, alongside NiKo and m0NESY’s combined efforts, will prove very tough for Vitality to deal with.

Need I remind you that in the IEM Melbourne 2025 Final, Magisk posted a 0.83 series rating? Assuming he continues his current BLAST Rivals Spring form into this Grand Final, I’m betting on Magisk being the difference-maker that Falcons need to win their second trophy of 2025.
This will be a controversial take – yes, I think we’re in a Vitality era, but I think the 24-match winning streak flatters the team. *GASP*. But yes, it’s true. Not even one week ago, Vitality came within one round of losing their streak to Falcons in the IEM Melbourne Final, before the latter managed to lose entirely to themselves by throwing a six-round lead. Before that, MOUZ came within one map of winning the BLAST Open Spring 2025 Final.

Whisper it quietly, but teams are getting closer to Vitality. Their mental resilience is incredibly impressive, and the glory of the trophies is their reward for what they’ve shown so far. But someone has to stop them, and I think winning IEM Melbourne in such a fashion has helped to paper over the cracks in the public’s view of Vitality’s dominance. They certainly can be beaten, and there’s no reason why a Falcons team that themselves look near-unbeatable after more time with m0NESY can’t be the ones to do it.
