CS2 Infinite Time Command: Unlimited Round Time Console Commands

If you’re going to practice in CS2, infinite time command usage is essential. No matter whether you’re practicing your nade lineups or perfecting your crosshair placement, it’s important that you’ve got all the time you need to get things right. That’s where the CS2 infinite time command comes in.

When practicing, you can use a CS2 console command that gives you practically unlimited round time, allowing you to line up those smokes without worrying about the round ending all the time. This is how the pros practice, so if the CS2 infinite time command is good enough for them, it’s good enough for me and you.

How to use CS2 Infinite Time Commands

Before you do anything, to use infinite time CS2 needs to have the in-game console turned on. This is easy. In the Game tab of your in-game settings, you’ll see the first option is “Enable Developer Console.” Just make sure this is set to “Yes,” and you’re ready to use your CS2 unlimited time commands in every round. This can be accessed using the tilde (~) key. Next, follow these steps:

• Enter “mp_roundtime_defuse 60” and “mp_roundtime 60” into the command console. These are the most important CS2 infinite time commands. They make 60-minute rounds in CS2 Bomb Defusal maps, which isn’t technically totally unlimited, but it’s the limit that the game supports.
• If you’re planning on practicing in the Hostage Rescue CS2 game mode, enter the command “mp_roundtime_hostage 60.” This sets the same 60-minute limit on Hostage Rescue maps like Italy and Office. This won’t be necessary for every player looking to use unlimited round time commands in CS2, but it doesn’t hurt to add.
• For practice, you should also add “mp_buytime 60000” and “mp_buy_anywhere 1.” These are extremely useful for practice, as they will allow you to buy weapons and utility at any point in your session. They aren’t CS2 infinite time commands, but they’re just as essential in my opinion.
• You can also enter “mp_ignore_round_win_conditions 1.” This will allow you to plant and defuse the bomb without actually ending the round, which could be useful in some practice scenarios.
• Alternatively, you can copy the following set of commands into your CS2 console all at once to get every command above in one go: “mp_roundtime_defuse 60; mp_roundtime 60; mp_roundtime_hostage 60; mp_buytime 60000; mp_buy_anywhere 1; mp_ignore_round_win_conditions 1.”
• If you happen to enter the above commands while in a match, nothing will happen. You also need to enter “mp_restartgame 1” for them to take effect.

That’s it – you’re good to go with infinite round time commands in CS2. Head into an offline match and see for yourself – it will change how you practice forever. Giving yourself infinite time in CS2 just reduces the stress of worrying when rounds end, and allows you to take your time with whatever you’re trying to practice.

Can CS2 infinite time commands be used online?

Not in public matches, no. You can use infinite time commands in CS2 in private matches only. You obviously can’t go into your Premier matches and start messing with the round time commands. However, you can technically use CS2 unlimited round time commands in private matches online with friends. That would certainly work, which can be useful if you want to practice nade lineups with friends.

Why use CS2 infinite time commands?

It’s true that CS2 has a built-in practice mode that allows you to have unlimited warmup with just the click of a button. However, this disables bots, which you may want for the purposes of your practice. By using a CS2 infinite time command, you get to keep bots in an actual round scenario while you practice.

Are there more CS2 commands for infinite round time?

No. The CS2 console commands above are all the infinite round time commands you’ll need, and the only ones available in-game.

Does the CS2 infinite time command stay enabled?

Unfortunately not. It’d be nice, but if you want to use the CS2 infinite time command, you’ll need to enter it every time you practice. Unfortunately, there’s no way around this, but once you’re used to using them frequently, it won’t take you long at all.
