In the interview facilitated by the Hotspawn Bot, Wagamama talked about strategies for Midas Mode. He discussed the importance of spending Moonbucks to get a good draft before attempting to do bounties rather than trying to cheap out on the draft. This makes a certain amount of sense: a stronger draft makes many of the bounties with an inherent risk easier to complete.
There was also a shout-out to the community in the interview. Two of the interactive elements of Midas Mode—the Twitch Chat and the Creep Takeover—were cited as contributing to the success of the Stunners. Of course, following the series, Sir Sadim announced that he was going to be reversing the Creep Takeover, turning it into a strategy for harassing the enemy instead of a benefit. Though the VIP creeps were kind to the Stunners, we’ve seen them misbehave for other teams, so this was probably a good decision.
Sir Sadim’s Stunners have now played all three of their group stage series, finishing with four wins and two losses total. They are definitely going to head to at least the semifinals of the tournament and could be headed straight to the grand finals depending on the results of the Natus Vincere versus Alliance game on September 27.
