Riot Games has launched VALORANT Night Queue, a limited-time challenge running through March 2026. The event rewards players for grinding ranked and casual play across two milestone phases, and there are free in-game cosmetics up for grabs just for hitting 500 points.

VALORANT Night Queue: Everything You Need to Know

What Is VALORANT Night Queue?

Night Queue is a milestone-based progression challenge hosted on Riot’s FTW platform. Players earn points by playing VALORANT matches, completing phase-specific objectives, teaming up with friends, and participating in a TikTok creative challenge. Once a milestone’s 500-point threshold is reached, a free reward unlocks automatically.

The event is split into two separate phases — Milestone 1: Warming Up, and Milestone 2: The Night Owl — each with different point-scoring rules and eligible game modes. Points do not carry over between phases, so both must be cleared independently. As of writing, the event has drawn over 15,000 participants on the FTW platform.

Event Schedule

  • Milestone 1 – Warming Up: March 4 at 12PM GMT to March 14 at 11:59AM GMT
  • Milestone 2 – The Night Owl: March 14 at 12PM GMT to March 23 at 11:59PM GMT

The full contest window runs from March 4 at 12PM GMT to March 23 at 12PM GMT. Entries and milestones completed outside this window are not eligible.

How to Participate

Head to the FTW platform and sign in with your Riot Games account. Logging in automatically registers you — no separate sign-up needed. Once joined, your in-game match data is tracked automatically.

To be eligible, you must be at least 16 years old, have a valid Riot Games account, and reside in one of the eligible countries listed in the Official Rules. Riot Games employees and affiliates are not eligible.

Not Eligible

You cannot participate if you live in a country subject to international sanctions, a jurisdiction that requires the challenge to be officially registered (and it hasn’t been), or a country that requires these rules to be provided in your local language without a translation available. Notably, the United States, Canada, China, and most of Latin America are not included in the eligible countries list.

How to Earn Points

Each milestone has its own point-scoring system. Here’s the break down for everything.

All game modes are eligible except Custom Matches.

  • Complete a match (any result): 1 point
  • Each kill: 1 point
  • Every 10,000 credits spent: 10 points
  • Each pre-made friend in your lobby (max 4): 1 point each

If two or more players finish with the same point total, ranking is decided by Average Combat Score (ACS) across both milestones.
