Gen.G is returning to the Game Changers scene, and they’re doing it with one of the most exciting rosters assembled in the Korean circuit in recent memory. The organization’s new Game Changers lineup was built around three players from Ninetails, the trailblazing squad that became the first Korean team to compete at the Game Changers Championship, held in Seoul in 2025. They’re joined by a pair of veterans out of FENNEL GC’s Japanese circuit campaign, giving Gen.G a blend of homegrown Korean talent and players with years of experience heading into the new season.

Gen.G signs Ninetails core, reviving Game Changers program along with FENNEL veterans

Gen.G previously fielded a Game Changers team back in 2023, but the program was shelved after the squad failed to qualify for Stage 2 that year. This new roster marks the organization’s first GC venture since then.

A Historic Core From Ninetails

Ninetails captured the imagination of the Korean Game Changers scene last year, becoming the first team from the country to reach the Game Changers Championship on home soil. The team operated on an unconventional model after being formed by streamer 972, and the players received no base salary but split prize money equally. Unfortunately, this was a structure that proved unsustainable after the spotlight of an international stage. The squad ultimately parted ways with its full roster at the end of the season.

Three of those players now make their way to Gen.G.

Jo “DaNa” Se-won arrives as one of the most dangerous Duelist players the Korean GC circuit has produced. At Korea Stage 2 last year at 16 years of age, she was the runaway best performer in the tournament, leading the players in rating, ACS, kill-death ratio, and ADR. She should slot straight into a carry role for Gen.G.

Park “332” Min-ju brings a different kind of value: versatility. She started her Ninetails tenure as the team’s Sentinel, but evolved into a full flex player by the end of the season, operating across Controller, Initiator, and Duelist roles depending on what the team needed. That adaptability will be a major asset in a roster still finding its shape.

Finally, Park “h4ste” Ju-hwi, the team’s in-game leader and Controller player, rounds out the trio. She’s expected to reprise both roles with Gen.G, anchoring the squad’s tactical foundation the same way she did for Ninetails during their Championship run.

FENNEL Duo Brings Cross-Pacific Experience

Rounding out the five-player lineup are Jeong “miNt” Ye-rim and Park “YamzzI” Su-jin, who spent the last two-plus seasons competing together at FENNEL GC in Japan’s Game Changers circuit.

MiNt has been a known quantity in Korean VALORANT since she burst onto the scene as a 15-year-old pro player. She spent three seasons with FENNEL GC as the team’s primary Duelist, and forged one of the Pacific region’s standout offensive partnerships. Her ceiling as a mechanical player is well established, and joining a roster that already has DaNa creates a genuinely frightening dual-threat in the front line, especially in a meta that has continued to reward teams running double duelist comps, especially with how powerful both Neon and Waylay remain to be.

YamzzI, who joined FENNEL midway through its 2023 campaign, complemented miNt in the Initiator role and continued in that capacity through last season.

The Coaching Staff

Gen.G’s coaching staff is equally noteworthy. SoKo joins as head coach, coming off a 2025 stint with CNE Changers, where he helped guide the Korean organization to the second-best record in the country, right behind Ninetails themselves. While CNE didn’t make it to Game Changers Pacific due to the Korean region only having one slot, that runner-up finish speaks to his ability to develop competitive rosters, and he’ll now have the talent to push even higher.

Jeong “SeoeuN” Seo-eun joins as assistant coach, transitioning into her first coaching role after wrapping up her playing career. SeoeuN previously competed for DRX Changers and SPEAR GAMING Female, the latter being where she and YamzzI were teammates. She also faced miNt on the opposing side during her time at DRX, giving her firsthand knowledge of two of her own players’ tendencies and games. Both coaches had previously worked with Gen.G’s Global Academy before stepping into their current roles.

The full roster for Gen.G Game Changers is now:

  • Park “h4ste” Ju-hwi (IGL)
  • Jo “DaNa” Se-won
  • Park “332” Min-ju
  • Park “YamzzI” Su-jin
  • Jeong “miNt” Ye-rim
  • SoKo”  (Head Coach)
  • Jeong “SeoeuN” Seo-eun (Assistant Coach)
