The curse of the Shanghai Dragons has finally been lifted and they have finally, FINALLY won their first match ever in the Overwatch League. Their winless streak went on for 42 consecutive games and boy, did they deserve this win. Echoing the sentiments of Gandalf in Return of the King; Now come the days of the Shanghai Dragons. May they be blessed.

If you didn’t get the catch to tune into this iconic matchup between the Dragons and the Boston Uprising, you should know that even though the Dragons had to go into double overtime on Lunar Horizon, they secured their win 3-1. With their morale high and their confidence undoubtedly growing, the Dragons will face off Chengdu Hunter on March 1.
To us, the Dragons just became the true champions of Season 2 of the Overwatch League. They fought with everything to secure their first win and this victory was only made better by how supportive and unending the love from their fans truly is. I’ll admit I feel a little bit like jumping up in my chair and shouting, “Dragons, my Dragons”.
