Ramping up the jeopardy to your Ranked matches, Epic Games is rolling out Rocket League Cash Cups. Players of all abilities to have a chance at grabbing a portion of a $100,000 pie.

Since it was formed, Psyonix and Epic Games have dabbled in a range of different systems to make Rocket League more competitive. However, Ranked Play and Tournaments never truly match that adrenaline rush of what the pros get when there are pennies on the line.
But that’s all about to change.
Now, with the title arguably in its most healthy state since the pandemic-driven gaming boom, Rocket League Cash Cups are coming to capitalise on its influx of players. They’re introducing a new ladder system that will reward devoted and improving players with real-life money and in-game rewards.
Akin to other titles like Counter-Strike with FaceIt, Epic Games is partnering with third-party site Repeat to host a new wave of Rocket League Cash Cups. The $100,000 prize pool will be available for all players to win with rank-specific tournaments and a special Rumble royale.
And it’s all hosted within your RL Ranked playlist. There’s no meddling, it’s just Rocket League.
Set over weekends between March and May, players can sign up to Repeat, which will then track every player’s performance over a 72-hour period (Friday to Sunday). Your individual and team performances all come into play as players will compete on a ladder, where you are awarded points for wins, goals, saves, assists, and other in-game statistics.

Cash rewards will be given to the players at the top of each ladder, with extra rewards for ‘Cash Grab’ side quests.
Even if you don’t win, though, Epic Games has created a string of rare in-game rewards. Like Deluxe Drops and Tournament Credits, which will allow you to flex your devotion in every playlist.
Simply link your Epic Games account to Repeat.GG, and you’re off.
This comes as the first time Rocket League players will be actively winning money from an in-game ladder, as Epic Games is making the most of the fact that Soccar is well and truly, not dead.
All of this also follows the developers’ promise to crack down on cheaters, as ‘bots’ have taken over the game so much that there’s now nearly as many hacked cars as there are Supersonic Legends.
With hope, these Cash Cups will be a haven for those players who have already spent an ungodly number of hours on the game, whether you’re a hard-stuck Diamond like me or a flying Grand Champion.
