The Kone Aimo’s main feature is RGB lighting, and there is a lot of it. In fact, the mouse lights up brighter than my entire Suora FX keyboard. This mouse shines as bright as it performs while boasting up to 12,000 dpi and 1,000 Hz polling rate, all the while weighing less than 5 ounces.

Design
Roccat’s Kone Aimo is thick and curvy, creating a shape that fits comfortably into the base of the user’s palm. There is a groove on the side for a comfortable thumb fit but also works as a neutral resting place to reach three programmable micro buttons. There are two buttons under the scroll wheel to automatically adjust the mouse’s dpi to the user’s desire.
The scroll wheel has a nice clicky feel as it goes around. I do not use a claw hand position when I use my mouse, so the scroll wheel is perfect where it is. Unfortunately for those who position their hand higher on the mouse, the scroll wheel might be a little too low. I personally have smaller hands, so they may play a role in your decision.
Performance
Game Quality
I have been using the Kone Aimo for over two months and have played Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, Fortnite, Destiny 2, and Overwatch throughout my testing period. I was able to program my own custom micro commands for the three different buttons near the thumb rest. There are two buttons above the thumb rest, and one longer button on the bottom. I was able to react much quicker in Black Ops 4 due to the fact that I had heal, slide and melee each within a twitch’s reach.
Thanks to Roccat’s own switches, each mouse button holds a 50-million-click lifespan. None of the buttons felt sticky, too clicky, or unresponsive. In fact, I trusted the mouse much faster than I normally would as I was slamming the left-click during Overwatch.
Software
Roccat’s Swarm software is extremely easy and straightforward to use. My current set up takes advantage of the software as I use two different Roccat products. Both of my products share the same color shade and interact in a way that makes my set-up look alive.
With the Kone Aimo, you can select different RGB designs to show off your mouse. Some options include wave, snake, breathing, heartbeat, or fully lit. Thanks to Roccat’s Aimo Intelligent Lighting System, certain Roccat products can be programmed to react organically to your behavior without the need for extensive configuration
