Logitech G305 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse

Whether work or play, the Logitech G305 Lightspeed wireless gaming mouse adds bold color and responsive gameplay in a lightweight package.

Our Score

Want to add a pop of color to your gaming setup? You have to check out the Logitech G305. The G305 Lightspeed wireless gaming mouse is part of the new Colorful G collection. It comes in six bold colors: blue, lilac, white, black, mint, and KDA Edition. The colors for the G305 wireless gaming mouse pair with the colorful G733 and G335 headsets.

Although the G305 is bold in color, it’s a pretty straightforward, wireless gaming mouse. It’s a lightweight, wireless gaming mouse that promises a low-click latency and long-lasting battery life.

First Impression of the Logitech G305

The first thing I noticed was the color. Logitech was kind enough to send us the mint green G305 with lilac accents along with the G335 gaming headset. I like that the color is bold but not gaudy. Too often gamers want colorful gaming gear, but the only color that’s usually available is pink, gamer green, or something with RGB. So, these mint pieces were refreshing to see.

This mouse is incredibly lightweight due to its mechanical design and efficient use of an AA battery. Part of the LIGHTSPEED collection, the G305 uses a HERO sensor that allows for up to 250 hours of gameplay. Using Endurance Mode in G HUB, you can adjust the settings to allow the mouse to last 9 months.

The G305 is kind of flat. So, if you’re used to using a claw grip and/or have larger hands, this may be uncomfortable. The mouse was just right for my hands, though.

It has six buttons that are programmable in the Logitech G HUB. The right and left buttons are separated for more consistent and reliable clicks. While playing Overwatch, I did not notice any lag in my shots. The clicks felt “clickier” without feeling as if I needed to push down harder. And it did feel very responsive, especially while playing Deathloop.

The only issue I had, which turned out to be a non-issue anyway, was that the wireless G305 is not rechargeable. It relies on an AA battery. But, after three weeks of use, it has not needed a battery replacement. As mentioned earlier, Logitech claims users can get up to 250 hours of play from the G305.

Conclusion

The Logitech G305 Lightspeed Wireless Gaming Mouse is a powerful mouse in a petite package. Its size and the fact that it’s wireless make it great for both gaming and working while traveling.
