Let’s start with the construction. You know that the Huntsman line will always come built with top-notch materials and the V2 TKL is no different. The aluminum construction means the keyboard can take a beating and never falter. The awesome doubleshot PBT keycaps feel great and work amazingly well. The RBG is some of the best on the market. There is no doubt that Razer puts their years of knowledge into making the Razer Huntsman V2 Tenkeyless the best they could.
For some of the new additions. First, is the obvious, the wrist rest. The previous TKL models did not come with a wrist guard while the Huntsman V2 Tenkeyless does. The guard provides plenty of comfort without feeling too plush in distracting. Rather than being conscious of its existence, you quickly embrace the comfort and forget it. Plus, the leatherette material is plenty sturdy while looking great.
The second big addition is the sound dampening foam. In all Huntsman V2 models, Razer has added a sound dampening foam to decrease the noisy nature of clacking away at keyboards. The Huntsman V2 Tenkeyless provides excellent feel and response times on the keys while the sound dampening foam ensures a gentle sound. No longer do you need to worry about folks on your discord call hearing you mash your keyboard or keeping your partner awake at night.
The final new additions are not likely to be ones you see, but rather ones you feel. The new doubleshot PBT keys are reliable and ensure inputs are always entered correctly. The other is the hyperpolling. With hyperpolling at 8000 Hz, the Huntsman V2 TKL is one of the fastest responding keyboards we have ever used. It may not be immediately noticeable if you are typing, but when playing a game like League of Legends or Dota at a high level, it fractions of a second the V2 TKL saves will make an impact.
Cons
One of the few cons with the Razer Huntsman V2 Tenkeyless is the additional cost. Though nothing that will break the bank, the V2 TKL will cost you another $20-$30 USD compared to their previous Huntsman TKL. You do get added benefits with this new model, but, it is still a price increase that could give pause to the economically conscious.
