DreamHack, the annual LAN party that features several major esports competitions, is back again this year with DreamHack Stockholm 2024. Taking place from tomorrow, November 22nd until the 24th, the legendary bring-your-own-computer (BYOC) convention will play host to a few ESL tournaments, involving titles like Counter-Strike 2, Overwatch, and Fortnite.

First up on the list for DreamHack Stockholm 2024 is the world final for the Overwatch Champions Series, which will feature eight teams from North America, Asia, and EMEA in a double elimination bracket. The prize pool for the event will be fully crowdfunded, with 25 percent of the proceeds from associated cosmetics going to the pot.

The tournament itself is actually organized by Overwatch developer and publisher Blizzard Entertainment, a year or so after the dissolution of the Overwatch League. As someone that used to play an unhealthy amount of Overwatch every day, I’m personally shocked that Blizzard is even still interested in running professional tournaments for the game, after how hard they fumbled the Overwatch League.
So it’s nice to see that they’re trying to keep pros interested in the game, as dead as it is now.
Then we have the ESL Impact League Season 6 global finals, which will feature eight women’s teams in a single Counter-Strike 2 tournament with a $123,000 prize pool. Fan favorite orgs like Na’Vi, BIG, and NIP will all be in attendance for fans to watch.
It's cold in Stockholm but can you feel the HEAT? 🔥
Let's get into the action!

Of course, the undefeated defending champions Imperial Valkyries will also be there, and will undoubtedly be the squad to beat at Stockholm. Sadly, we won’t get to see the new age version of Train in the map pool just yet, as it’s too new to be allowed for competitive play.
On the other side, there’s the Svenska Elitserien, a Sweden-only Counter-Strike 2 tournament which will showcase both established organizations and new blood in a four-team competition. 230,000 SEK (Swedish krona) will be up for grabs here. Alliance is the most notable participating team by far, with players like Jonathan “b0denmaster” Bodenmalm in their roster.
I’m not even kidding — that is actually the title of the Fortnite event at DreamHack Stockholm. The LAN party will host a Battle Royale Duos tournament that anyone attending DreamHack can enter, whether they play Fortnite professionally or just casually from the comfort of their own home. Either way, $25,000 will be on the line for any interested participants.

In addition, Kyle “Mongraal” Jackson and Martin “MrSavage” Foss Andersen will be teaming up as a duo in this event as they have been since early 2024. Players will therefore get a chance to show this formidable pair what they’ve got in front of everyone at DreamHack.
Aside from these three, DreamHack Stockholm will also feature tournaments for Teamfight Tactics, Valorant, and even Logitech Race Days for sim racers.
That last one is unique in the sense that it isn’t really a tournament, but rather a time trial challenge that runs for all three days at DreamHack that anyone can try their hand at. Logitech is offering a total of $100,000 for this challenge (distributed among participants), Logitech peripherals including a G923 wheel and pedal set, and even a VIP travel package with luxury car manufacturer McLaren.
