It’s that day of the year when unsuspecting readers double-take at unending bizarre headlines, usually with a sudden realization of the date soon after. Caedrel joins DK – The best esports April Fool’s announcements of 2026

Caedrel returns to pro play for Dplus KIA in the LCK

Having been retired from competitive competition for years, and having since become the League of Legends co-streamer, Marc “Caedrel” Lamont’s supposed return to pro play was announced by the LCK’s Dplus KIA. In a post on X, the team announced him as a ‘sixth man/Mid Laner,’ going back to the role on which he started his career before his switch to jungle in his latter years.

The team added that the signing was only ‘until April 1st,’ meaning he would leave the team before their next match against Nongshim RedForce the following day.

Liquipeda rebrands esports for April Fool’s

With esports organisations — like their traditional sports counterparts — seemingly unable to avoid the temptation to perform unnecessary rebrands, esports hub Liquipedia has taken matters into its own hands to design new logos for all teams.

Their ‘revamp’ was made in an effort to ‘give teams a final rebrand once and for all.’ Their announcement concluded: ‘Our wikis never looked this good.’

Team Vitality announces they are leaving CS2 for competitive integrity of the game

Team Vitality are currently in the best CS era since Astralis and having won BLAST Open Rotterdam over the weekend, apEX and ropz announced the org’s departure from CS.

How they got through this video without laughing is beyond me but in all seriousness, I’m willing to bet there are some teams out there who wish that this would actually happen.

OG Esports announces Ceb is joining…Spurs?

Sebastien “Ceb” Debs is one of the most celebrated Dota 2 players of all time and has also dipped his toes in MLBB, serving as the technical director for SRG.OG. So maybe it’s not completely out the bounds of reason that he’d make the leap over football. But I don’t think anyone will ever believe that he’ll ever leave OG.

Boaster x Crashies OnlyFans drop?

After not qualifying to Masters Santiago, it seems the fnatic boys have fallen on hard time. And what’s a guy to do other than drop the OF link? The post is actually age restricted but if you’ve verified your age on X, you can see the fully post here.

This is the ultimate tease from Boaster. What did he convince Crashies to do? Will we ever know?
