The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Continental Championships is back and Season 7 (MCC S7) is shaping up to be one of the most competitive splits the Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA) region has ever seen.

MCC S7 Sets the Stage for a New Era in EECA

With roster shakeups, rising academy talent, and new organizations entering the fray, the upcoming season is onward to a full-on reset of the regional power balance. Starting April 10, eight teams will battle not only for the MCC crown, but for a coveted ticket to the Mid Season Cup (MSC) at the 2026 Esports World Cup.

Team Spirit Look to Extend Historic dominance

All eyes remain on reigning champions Team Spirit, who return as the undisputed kings of EECA for MSC S7. The squad is chasing an unprecedented seventh straight league title, a streak that has already cemented them as one of the most dominant teams in MLBB esports history.

Their consistency isn’t limited to regional play. Back-to-back top-four finishes at the M5 and M6 World Championships have proven that Team Spirit can hang with the best globally. Now, with the addition of former Virtus.pro jungler Zaur “zaur egoist” Magomadov, the roster gains even more firepower heading into Season 7. There were a lot of praises from Southeast Asian teams to the young jungler, which means, their current form would be a treat for the MLBB esports western fans to look forward to.

Will zaur egoist’s addition be the factor that Team Spirit needs to actually go head to head against the strongest teams in the world? Let’s first find out their run in MCC S7.

Virtus.pro and New Contenders Shake up the Field

Virtus.pro once again headline the list of contenders looking to dethrone the champions. After finishing as runners-up twice, the team already proved their international caliber by winning the MSC Wild Card at EWC 2025 during their debut run.

Now, with two key additions for MSC S7, roamer Maxim “Nagib” Dudich and jungler Sergey “Marl” Finashev, Virtus.pro enter Season 7 with renewed momentum and a clear goal: finally claim the MCC title.

They are not the only team who have proven to be a threat to the current champions. Verso Time is also part of MCC S7 and have recently won the SURGE Pro League Season 1, where they even beat Team Spirit 2-0 during the quarterfinals of the playoffs. They became champions by beating Aurora Türkiye 4-3, making a name not only in the EECA region but also the entirety of the western scene of MLBB.

These two teams won’t be the only ones shaking things up.

MCC S7 also welcomes Team Yandex and Aura Farmers (formerly known as Team Spirit Academy Black), two newcomers bringing fresh storylines into the league. Team Yandex enters as the esports arm of a major tech organization, while Aura Farmers rise from the academy system, signaling a new wave of grassroots talent breaking into the top level.

Their arrival reflects a broader shift in the EECA ecosystem, one that’s steadily building depth and sustainability through talent development.

A Growing Ecosystem Fuels Tougher Competition

Behind the scenes, EECA’s MLBB ecosystem continues to evolve at a rapid pace. The region has become one of the most active hubs for third-party tournaments, with over $400,000 in prize pools distributed throughout 2025 alone.

This constant stream of competition has strengthened the talent pipeline, allowing new teams and players to rise faster than ever before. It’s a system that’s beginning to pay off and Season 7 could be the clearest sign yet of that growth.

Format, stakes, and the road to MSC

The Regular Season for MCC S7 runs from April 10 to May 17, with all eight teams competing in a Best-of-Three format across six weekends. Only six teams will advance to the Playoffs, where the intensity ramps up significantly.

The top two MLBB teams secure a direct slot in the upper bracket, while the remaining four must fight through an additional stage just to stay alive. From there, it’s a gauntlet of Best-of-Five series, culminating in a Best-of-Seven Grand Final on June 7.

At stake is not just regional glory, but international opportunity. The top two teams will represent EECA at MSC during the 2026 Esports World Cup, where a massive $3 million prize pool awaits.

More than a title on the line

MCC S7 isn’t just about crowning a champion, it’s about proving where EECA stands on the global stage currently.

With established giants defending their legacy and new blood eager to rewrite the script, this season could redefine the region’s hierarchy. And when the dust settles, the teams heading to MSC won’t just carry a banner, they’ll carry the weight of an entire region looking to solidify its place among MLBB’s elite.
