Misfits Gaming announced today they’re bringing back former coach Hussain “Moose” Moosvi as the team’s Interim Coach for the remainder of the Split.

In the press release, Misfits indicates that this new role will better suit Jesiz’ strengths, such as “working with players on an individual level, to promote wellbeing and personal growth for all [their] players.”

Misfits are having a rough Spring Split in the LEC. With a record of 4W-6L, the team has lost their last four games in a row. They’re sitting in seventh place, and just lost to last place team, Rogues. Just days ago, Hotspawn’s own Mike Plant wrote about Misfits, “Don’t be surprised if a new voice is brought in to give the team a new direction before the Spring Split is over.”

Whether Moose can turn the team’s issues around in time for the Spring Split playoffs is unclear. They need to move up the standings to sixth place just to qualify, so the team’s work is cut out for them. They’ll need to make every one of their remaining eight games count.

Misfits’ next match is versus SK Gaming, the sixth place team, on Friday, February 22.
