This is everything you need to know about what’s coming in the upcoming TFT Patch 17.3. Aside from nerfing down Primordians, this update is coming with a long series of changes that is expected to heavily shift the meta.

TFT Patch 17.3 Preview – The Death of Primordian comps?!

What’s changing TFT Patch Notes 17.3?

TL;DR

  • Apex Primordian is dead, with damage, tankiness, and durability massively nerfed.
  • AP late game comps are going to be stronger, following buffs to Aurelion Sol, Karma, LeBlanc, and Sona.
  • Morgana becomes a 4-cost Magic Tank, making her a more accessible frontline unit.
  • Anima got a major consistency buff. At 6 Anima, you get loots after every combat instead of every combat win.
  • Xayah, Diana, Miss Fortune, and Fizz are going to be stronger carries.

There is also a big change to the Realm of the Gods with Patch 17.3. According to game designer Riot Truexy, the item component choice will be moved to the Pengu blessing, with the main goal of opening up more opportunities and not sacrificing the component choice for the God’s Boon.

Aside from that, Kai’Sa is also getting a nerf after being one of the most popular units in the current update. The damage nerf will likely push her play rate down, although she should still be a good item holder in mid game. Marauders, which have also been popular, are also nerfed. Overall, the meta is set to change quite substantially, especially with economy augments also getting tuned down.

On the other hand, however, some of the reroll comps will also be weaker, so we might still see most shifting towards Fast 8 boards.
