It’s the end of the journey for LOUD. The Brazilian team couldn’t withstand JDG and has been knocked out of First Stand after a series where it never looked in a position to contest the game. At the end of the series, we sat down with LOUD’s ADC Song “Bull” Seon-gyu to hear his thoughts on the series and what he takes as a positive moving forward.
Davide: First of all, welcome. Before we dive into the series,
LOUD Bull: So in the current meta, I think bot is actually quite important. It’s the key in every game. So I feel like, in the current state of our team, we’re not able to pull off all of those meta picks. So we try the best as we can to figure out what the best counter pick would be, or we try to utilize our strategy as much as we can in game 1 and try to win from draft. But I felt like we definitely lacked in terms of the bot lane mechanics, so I think that just made the game a lot harder for us.
Encerramos aqui nossa participação no First Stand.

Davide: Is it just strictly laning phase, or is it related to the way you guys play as a team, and you weren’t able to find the synergy and the openings to punish the opponent?
Bull: You know, if I were to be quite honest, I feel like if we continue playing bot lane like this, the game is just unplayable. I feel like I can’t even say anything to our top side because the current state of the game is really bot prio, that’s the meta. And I feel like, you know, even regardless of the pick, I feel like it’s just the way we played that actually made the game a lot unplayable.
Bull: Gala is such a talented player. I was actually so looking forward to going up against him, but I almost feel embarrassed because I feel like if I were GALA, he would have thought,
“What kind of a game is this? It’s just not even fun. It’s really easy. Too easy.”
And you know, rather than during the game, me realizing that, ‘Oh yeah, he’s such a great player’, it just felt like the only takeaway was that I just cannot play the game. This is not playable at all. But obviously, GALA, he’s someone that I’ve always thought is really, really talented, very good at the game.

Davide: I know this was your first international tournament in your career. Obviously, it sounds like it wasn’t a fun series, but even if it was a short run,
Bull: I think the biggest takeaway from participating in an international stage is that, through all the matchups against all the talented players that are basically playing on a different level, it just feels like they are on a completely different level.
It just feels like I can feel the gap firsthand, and from my perspective, when I am up against another bot lane, it just feels like you just cannot even breathe, and it’s just that pure strength and mechanics difference. So obviously, although we won the last CBLOL split, I just felt so much in the sense that there is so much room to improve and so much room to actually get better. That’s just the whole takeaway from this international event.
Davide: Do you think that pressure you had is also something that you had while playing in Korea? Considering you joined LOUD at the start of 2026, now that you’ve got a couple of months to settle in,
Bull: In terms of all the teams in Korea and just matchups in Korea, it just looks like they’re doing pretty much the same thing.
“They all look like they’re doing a similar thing. But that minor, trivial detail and being able to execute that small detail is what makes an absolute difference.”
And you all of a sudden have a lead in the game, and then it becomes a landslide. So I think that’s what LCK is really good at. But in CBLOL, the main focus is really just fighting. You skirmish a lot, the teamfights, and then I think the laning phase is also incorporated into that. And then that’s how you usually build a snowball, and you get your lead.

Bull: Yeah. Honestly, I know that you guys are always supporting us, and thank you so much for all the Brazilian fans watching over us. I feel like there’s a lot of regret left behind after this international event, just based on our matches, but we have a long season ahead of us. There’s MSI and Worlds. Those are some of the things that we’re aiming for. We’ll continue trying hard and putting in effort. Thank you so much.
